Great Product -- A+++ in my Book
I bought this bird netting in my attempt to keep some of my crops from becoming food for birds, chipmunks and squirrels. After fencing off an area to keep the bunnies and my own dogs away from our garden area, I became faced with the problem of how to deal with the smaller creatures who also visit my garden ares and eat as much as their tummies will allow and this of course takes away from the crops we should be harvesting for our own wants and needs. Enter the bird netting, the 3/4 openings to keep the birds away and are also to small for the squirrels and chipmunks to get through so I am very pleased with this so far, the 3/4 inch openings are just large enough for the honey bees to pass through without any problem. The netting does not shadow the crops so they do get enough sunlight to keep the crops growing and producing. I have also noticed that the netting does not stay tangled and is easy to untangle when it does happen, the one flaw is nothing that can be helped however as 3 of our chipmunks have lost their lives when they attempted to pass through the openings and become tangled in the netting and choke themselves when they struggle to escape the net. I did however manage to save one of the critters as I was close enough when it got caught. Yes I am pleased and this winter I will build a wooden greenhouse frame to go over the tops of the 2 greenhouses I have and will use 1/2 " metal 2 foot tall hardware cloth across the bottom and this bird netting will be use to cover the roof and a big part of the side walls. This combination will be the very last step in my garden security from Mother Natures critter helpers.

A Good value and well packaged
I thought about making it a 4 star review because of the thinness of the nets, but in most applications not directly on berry bushes but these nets do their job and are a 5 star value compared to similar weaker nonwoven plastic nets. This is strong (but thin) woven nylon netting. The netting was well packaged with a cloth bag plus (10) plastic push stakes and a bag of plastic wire ties. (Neither of which I used). This netting is strong but also wire thin and not a good idea to put directly on berry bushes as it easily catches leaves, berries and branches. It's much better for an enclosure. I have an enclosure for my other berries, but for these two outlier bushes, I built standoff tees to keep nets right off the bushes, but I still stripped a couple of pounds of berries off the bushes installing. You get about 100% light transmission with these nets because of their thin weave, (which is not really neccessary for blueberries). I'm hoping they're cat proof too, for the errant bird that finds it s way under the nets. Cats easily rip up the cheap spun plastic nets going after trapped birds. I bury all edges and stake every few feet with 6" sod pins. Cat birds will charge the edges of the nets looking for a weak spot they can get under so better to cover exposed edges with soil or mulch, but this is a problem universal to all netting materials.

This is like Fish Net - not like the plastic square bird netting I've used before, but better!
UPDATE: I'm liking this bird/squirrel netting more and more as I'm using it. Yes, it was quite the pain to cut to size for our purposes, but in use, it's great! The stretchiness and durability of the cording works well. Even though we have it draped over some metal t-posts which do have some sharp edges on top, the netting is holding up well and the threads aren't being cut. I am using 6" metal landscaping staples which I bought separately to secure the netting to the ground. No critters are getting in, and I'm harvesting an outstanding crop of organic blueberries! Yummmm! PREVIOUS REVIEW: This fish net style of bird netting was difficult to use for our purposes. If you're planning on keeping it whole and not cutting it up into smaller sections to use in different parts of your garden, then I'm sure that it would be fine. However, I wanted to cut it up, and found it very difficult to spread out evenly on the lawn so that I could measure it. It's very stretchy, and is made of nylon string, instead of the more rigid plastic that I've used before. The plastic netting which has little squares is much easier to cut in a straight line. But, I think that this string will probably be more durable. I bought little stainless steel 6" hoops to press into the ground to hold it down. We're hoping that this works well to keep the birds and squirrels away from our blueberries.

Good product
I bought this to hang around under my walnut tree to catch walnuts so my dogs couldn't eat them. It worked perfect. It's way bigger than I expected

nightmare to use.
So I have converted my pool into a koi pond. The koi are thriving and breeding but predators are an issue. I have been abke to keep all of them away with numerous methods from decoys I have imitation floating alligators I have all kinds of dangling Chimes and flashy things around the pool that work had to distract most animals from coming but my latest and greatest foe is a blue heron incredibly smart and also incredibly persistent and he's gotten a few of my koi so I have a small portion of square-shaped netting that I was able to cover a portion of the shallow end but I just wanted to cover the entire pool because I don't want there to be any possibility of me losing any more I've got hundreds in there and my biggest breeders are very valuable over 2 ft long at this point ...so I ordered this neting and it is nearly impossible to pull over my kidney bean shaped , nothing straight pool .As I pull it to get across the pool it .shortens the length of the opposite side and if you don't have it exactly pulled evenly every direction the dimensions change dramatically. I have volcanic rock all along the back of the pool and it is different heights and shapes as well so having to pull it over these sticks to them like crazy and it just completely screws up the dimensions and now I have messed with it for over 3 hours and I am so fed up I'm going to order some plaatic or or polyurethane based Square cut poultry cover like I had before that I was able to do by myself no problem whatsoever. I even had my daughter trying to help me with this crap and it's not working whatsoever and I even brought it to the street to try to square it off and staple it to straight boards and it still is a mess. On top of that I can tell that the make of this stuff if it were to dip into the water it would be like Gill netting and hook onto the fish's gills and more than likely kill them so saying this is good option for a protective pond netting it's a drastic mistake. FYI I owned and operated a hardwood flooring business for over 20 years and have been involved in everything you can imagine to do with construction for years .. also currently have 15 aquariums running and have had multiple and I have been obsessively involved in fish keeping my entire life so this is not a rookie thing ... stuff is just not not a good option

I'm happy, the crows and wild parrots are not! We'll finally have persimmons this season.
While we love fresh persimmons, we never seem to be able to harvest any as the crows seem to know exactly when to begin harvesting for themselves and the pesky wild parrots in our area don't seem to care if they're ripe or not, they'll simply devour them once they reach a decent size. This year, however, we netted the tree and relocated the invasive red squirrels in around our house, so should be able to finally have a decent harvest this year. This net is very nice, albeit not extremely thick or heavy. I'm sure the parrots would easily chomp through it, but so far, they're avoiding it in fear of becoming tangled. This is a nice product and should work perfect for our requirements. When it comes time to remove, I'll have to be very careful so we can use this next season but I believe the netting will be strong enough. For the application of the netting, I will be constructing a large U-shaped pole configeration using PVC pipe and also build a rounded, domed aluminum dish on a pole to help lift and move the net.

Nice big size but birds get caught in the netting
We needed this extra large netting to cover up a very wide fig tree that starlings were attacking. They were eating or destroying all the ripe fruit. The netting is a great size and more than covered this very wide tree (we needed 4 people to get it in place though.) It does the trick of keeping birds and squirrels away, but the holes are bigger than we thought they would be and though the birds couldn't get through the holes, they started getting caught in it. We had to cut parts of the net to free them. Luckily there are ties included which made it possible to "fix" the holes. The good news is that after about 4 days of this, the birds seem to have learned to stay away. We are hoping it will continue but we check every day. We couldn't find a net this big with significantly smaller holes so we really are hoping this will work in the long term because the size is perfect!

Easy to install.... because I paid someone else to do it :-D
I bought a smaller version of this previously for a small orange tree. I can easily take it on and off myself as the smaller mesh lets the net glide more easily over the tree. However, just about every stick, leave, or any other debris gets caught in it along the ground. But that's true of every similar product. The first one I bought is on it's second year and the only tears in it are ones I made with a Bowie knife because I couldn't extract the stakes (until I decided to grind the heads off them and hang them like tree ornaments off the net for weight). The material is durable, remains soft, even after being in the Arizona sun for months, and isn't hard to work with. However, the 50x50 footer was a bit much for one guy with a ladder.... so I had someone else put it on. Took them only a few minutes by using extension poles, a guy on each side, and one to pull the middle over. Nice product.
