Great version of a classic story.

My 2 and 3 year old both sit and listen to this story and I love reading it! It’s fun to do the different voices. I looked at many versions of this story and chose this one because I loved the illustrations. They weren’t too scary or overly stylistic like some other popular choices. The story is also not too wordy, just contains all the best parts. Highly recommend this version!

Vor 40 Jahren habe ich eine Vorversion dieses Buches meinen Neffen und Nichten in England vorgelesen. Damals hatten wir viel Spass!Nun habe ich diese neue Ausgabe mit der alten verglichen. Wir stellten fest, dass die neue (fast) so gut ist, wie damals und immer noch eine tolle Geschichte für kleine Kinder darstellt.Auch für meine 6- Klässler im Englischunterricht könnte ich mir vorstellen, sie mit Folien unterstützt vorzulesen.

The illustrations by Stephen Carpenter make this version of this favorite fairy tale special to me. I loved reading it to my 9 grandchildren over and over again. Now I am buying 9 copies of it for my future great-grandchildren in case it goes out-of-print before they are born.
