What is the exact length of the slot this punches? From some of the comments posted, it doesn't seem to be what is described in this listing.

5/8" x 1/8" as the manufacturer states. If you are using it as a punch for vertical blinds, you may have to make the hole larger by punching it more than once. Levelor blinds for instance have a larger hole than some other brands.

Will this punch through felt?

I have not tried it on felt or any fabric but pretty sure it would not as it is for paper.

Could foam board fit into the slot to be punched?

I do not believe that the thickness of foam board would fit the slot. I would say no it would not punch foam board

what is the reach on this punch?

Reach of the closer border of punch hole is 9mm or close to 3. 7/8 of an inch. The hole is 8 x 2 mm, means distant border of punch hole is 11mm distant from the border of plastic you are punching. Hope my info helps you.
