Mommys Bliss Gripe Water Original 4 oz from Baby's Bliss

I am a skeptic but after two weeks of my baby screaming from noon until midnight I was willing to try anything. After the first dose I didn't notice anything and I wasn't surprised at all. However, about two hours later my child took a three hour nap and she hadn't done that since her colic started. Not ready to draw conclusions just yet, I gave her a dose again that evening when she was fussy. Again, nothing happened right away but 30 minutes later she was asleep again. Still a skeptic, and not ready to admit this worked, I used it the next day. We had a great day with no screaming, just a happy baby. I haven't even given her a full dose which is 1 teaspoon or 5 ML's. All I give is about 1.5 ML's and after four days of using it I would say that I have a baby who is colic free. It's either a coincidence, which is probably not the case. Or this stuff is magic and has saved my sanity. This is a herbal product and thus not monitored or regulated by the FDA or any organization. The research I have done finds that the scientific community is mostly against gripe water. I can't find a good reason why other than lack of monitoring of product quality and lack of clinical trials proving effectiveness (no one wants to do a clinical trial on a product they can't profit from. the small studies I do find are are lacking in one way or another i.e. patient population, type of study, poor statistical power etc.). Whether or not this product is for you should be decided by your doctor but I can say so far it has worked very well for me and I am doing my best to give it as little as possible. The only side effect I have seen from it is a happy baby.

This first week we brought my son home from the hospital he developed hiccups and gas and would not stop crying at 4 in the morning. We were given two packs of Mommy's Bliss gripe water as a shower gift and did not realize how magical this stuff is until the first drop touched my son's tongue and he instantly stopped crying. My son loves this homeopathic gas remedy and after we give him some he tries to lick the dropper because he likes it so much! I tried it myself and it's soothing and has a light natural sweetness to it. It has helped us all get to sleep many a nights. I wish that it would last more than 6 weeks after opening, but considering it's homeopathic, it makes sense that it doesn't have preservatives. I just wish it was sold in smaller bottles or individual doses so we don't have to waste it. It's one of the must-have gifts now that I give to new parents in their baby shower gifts.

I love this product! Works almost instantly for my little ones hiccups, and for burps she gets them out easier and faster. As for gas, it helps relieve that too! lioe a charm!!! I rave about this to anyone who asks, in my birth group I always recommend! Not only does it do an amazing job, but it is also diaper bag ready! Meaning no need to refrigerate, and it even comes with its own dopper! I have a bottle next to where I feed my little one, and even a spare bottle in the diaper bag for on the go. After using this product and falling in love with it I even picked up the night time baby wash (I may have even used it for myself in a bath, amazing!) and the room spray. I can't not complain about any of these products. This gripe water is my saving grace when baby is fussy, 9 out of 10 times it solves the problem!!

When I'm feeling extra cranky and gassy I throw back a droperful of gripe potion and I'm instantly transformed back from mr Hyde into Doctor Jeckyll. Seriously though. This stuff tastes good. But I can't say for sure if it has a significant impact on my crankiness level. I find that the most effective calming technique used to get me and my belly calm and happy has more to do with holding me facing away with lots of gentle stomach pressure (helps push the gas along) along with some swaddling, white noise and dim lights. Also really good sleep management 24/7 is essential so that I don't get over tired and morph back into Mr Hyde. if this job seems like it would be too much work for you then you are in luck because I already hired my Dad full time. My Mom is only really good for one thing: Milk. Lots and lots of milk.

I can't say enough about this stuff! My babies had a lot of gas and discomfort with it. It was really hard to see them in pain and crying for so long. The doctor recommended a different formula and gas drops. Neither seemed to help at all. Call it mother's intuition, I saw this stuff and decided to try it. Phenomenal! It made such a difference for them!! I used it in every bottle for at least a month and now only as needed because it's the only thing that brought them peace. I got the apple flavor but I don't know if it really matters to the babies since formula tastes pretty bad but they drink it. One baby was good at sucking it from the syringe but the other wasn't so it was just easier to put it in their bottles with the formula and breast milk. I tried Little Tummies brand when I ran out one time but this works better for my babies. The pediatrician said he didn't know much about gripe water but heard some parents had a lot of success with it.

I started giving this to my newborn baby girl (Influenced by Olivia Zapo on Youtube) and unfortunately I did not like it. Yes, it did work for my baby’s hiccups (which is the only thing i used it for) But, I noticed that since I started giving it to her, she would get colics which she never had before. I stopped it and my baby has not complained about colics ever since. 🤷‍♀️

I think I got the same background story as many of you: my newborn got colics, as it is my first baby I got into panic mode, spend the nights reading though the internet and got: - Chamomile globulis - Carbo vegetabilis globulis - Lactase - Gerbers smooth drops probiotics (was BioGaia) and ordered the two best reviewed amazon solutions: - Gripe water (Mommys Bliss) - Tummy calm. I spend days and weeks doing try and error to test every single solution and see if there was any progress. What I found out is: every baby is different!!! If something isn't working for me, it doesn't mean it won't work for you, so TRY IT! In my case, the Mommy Bliss Gripe Water didn't work, but I won't review it with one star since it seems to work for other babys. Regardless of that, what I didn't like is: - the taste: its way too sweet! I know babys taste different but it is still a lot of sugar! - the serving size: way too much liquid for a little baby. They will feel full before eating, no wonder they feel better if they don't have any room for milk in the stomach anymore As I mentioned: I would try it, but there is room for improvement (at least on the serving size!)

My daughter gets the hiccups ALL the time! She gets excited when she sees mommy with the dropper and opens her mouth right away. She loves the taste and usually only one to two little drops gets rid of the hiccups right away! I don't usually give her the full dose as she doesn't seem to need that much. Also awesome for tummy aches. When I can hear her tummy gargling, she loves this to ease the pain and discomfort. Also helps her digest better :) I feel like a wizard when I give this to her as it works 99% of the time!
