It says 100 percent compostable but then mentions it needs to go to a special facility. Is it compostable without going to a special facility?

These need to go through the hot compost process to breakdown. Many backyard gardeners do not have piles that reach the temperatures needed. I am going to try it and just see. I just can't stand the plastic bags I am currently using for my product packaging.

I have use other containers like these and they get soggy. How are these?

I haven’t had any problems. I’ve seen others add foil or parchment as a long Ed n when needed. I still like them better than plastic.

What color are the containers? They look like beige or light brown in the images, but the customer images look like they're white?

The containers are light beige. They are also very study, much more sturdy than Styrofoam.
