Jiffy 100 Count- 36 MM Peat Soil Pellets

Exactly what we needed! Rehydrates best in as hot of water as your tap will put out. So nice to have a 100 count option to buy. Seeds germinated crazy fast in these with a grow light seed starter. We sprinkled cinnamon on top of each pellet after hydrating and planting seeds. Cinnamon is a natural mold inhibitor. Hopefully it works! So far, no mold!

Great way to start seeds indoors.

I have been using these Peat Soil Pellets for many years now. I like the 36MM because sometimes I have to hold the plant a while before planting and they still have plenty of room to grow. I like them also because they are easy on the transplant without having to touch or disturb the roots. They just make my gardening so much easier and less messy.

The package I got didn't really come with instructions, but I was able to find some instruction on their website. They just about triple in size when they are hydrated. I found it best to saturate them until they looked completely brown (when they are dry the netting around looks kinda white). Now we just wait for things to grow.

I recently used the last of these and ordered seed starters from another company (with faster delivery). What a mistake! See photo for the superior Jiffy brand on the left and the non-Jiffy on the right. The difference in quality is shocking. I’ll only buy Jiffy brand moving forward.
