So I replaced our old wooden swing/slide after 3 years of it being in rough shape. The swings were too small for our 7 year old.We purchased the Big Brutus and have loved it. The installation was insanely easy and seems to be incredibly well built and will last far longer than our wooden swing set ever would. Took a couple to put up with 1 person for 90% of it and 2 people for the rest.Our 7 and 3 year olds love it. There is a massive swinging arc that is comparable to a swing set at a park or school. No worries about kids feet hitting at they get older. You can adjust the heights of the swings and also swap out the seats for toddler style seats or rope swings.All the parts individually are very light weight. You can use the swing with smaller kids with a level ground without stakes, BUT I would highly recommend using the stakes as it could flip with enough speed and weight eventuallyFew Tips:1.) I would recommend leveling ground under the legs2.) The stakes are a pain. For me it helps to use a large piece of rebar/metal rods or a long screw driver to left twist the stakes into the ground. If ground is too hard, soak ground in water to soften.3.) Be careful using a drill or especially an impact wrench in assembly. You can over tighten and bend the metal especially at the top to attach hooks to frame for swings.

In total it took my husband and I about 2 hours from unboxing to having in anchored in the ground. Great quality and overall very easy to put together. My only concern is the ground anchors - we live in the midwest where we get some strong straight line winds so we are going to be looking into some heavier duty ones - but the overall unit is very heavy as well. Amazon delievered right up to our garage (they actually put it inside our garage between our cars which I thought was very nice!). I forsee this swing set having a very long life due to the great quality, size (I could see kids up to 10 years-12 years finding this swing fun with how tall it is) and versatility of switching out the swings. Overall for the price I highly recommend!

I don't write reviews too often but this swingset deserves one. Absolutely amazing. Incredibly sturdy and made with quality materials. Insanely easy to put together and the directions were fantastic! You will need some extra hands as it is very heavy but I was able to put it together with my teenage children. The Big Brutus is positively worth the money!!!!

Really good build quality overall! My only complaint is the included ground anchors which are insufficient for the size of the swingset even for use with small kids, let alone an adult. I ended up replacing them with some 36” heavy duty ones I got elsewhere on Amazon which did the trick. (See attached pic for a scale comparison) Assembly was very simple if you follow the included instructions. I did it with the help of one of my kids.

Just set it up today and immediately impressed by how well made and sturdy it appears. Assembly was a breeze and swings seem very durable. As long as it doesn’t rust out and holds up well, it’ll keep its 5-stars

We bought this for our small church Sunday school after our old wooden set fell apart many years ago. The swing set is very impressive. It looks like it will last for years to come. The hardware is decently thick. I have no worries about even the teenagers on his swing set.Note: if you are budgeting for installation, the instructions specify that you need about 12" of double ground playground mulch in a wide radius (forgot how many feet) around the swing set to cushion any falls that might happen. Plan to purchase at least three pickup truck loads of mulch to go with it plus a weed barrier of some sort. Or get stall mat by the roll or those puzzle piece floor sets to put under 6" of mulch. It's not something you see in the photos but something to think about as it will be a foot shorter as a result and cost more $$$ to put it in correctly.This thing is not that easy to put together. Definitely requires two strong adults. If you leave it in the hot sun the metal heats up and expands for a pretty tight fit (plus burns your hands). Some WD40 on the metal tube ends and a pair of gloves to grip the hot/slick metal is a good idea. Be sure to use the paper instructions that are in the box because I lost mine and downloaded some from the internet that were outdated and had a different parts list. The customer service representative for Backyard Discovery was very helpful over the phone. I appreciate their patience.

Did a lot of research before buying. Measured the area we were placing it in 5 times and are still amazed at how tall and big it is. We added two swings not in the original pack for our toddlers and they’ve worked great with the swing set the last few months. The kids love it! They're always asking for “swing time”.Took 1 adult man with the help of a pregnant wife and 2 toddlers about 2 hours to assemble.It does come with the anchors! We bought a separate pack because they weren’t in the description and returned them.

We love this swing. Sturdy, well made, even two adults can swing on it without any movement in ground. Easy setup, you can put it together (2 ppl) withing and hour !

This is a good set, sturdy and nice. My only complaint is the packaging since while it was delivered the pieces hit eachother and bent the tube of one which made the paint chipped, I contacted the seller and the piece was replaced. Good customer service and understanding, no complications. Again, the packaging could be improved to avoid chipping the pieces while transporting.

This is a bigger and sturdy swing set compared to other sold in Canadian Tire; Walmart; etc. The grandchildren enjoy it. Assembly instructions were good. Assembly works quicker with two people.

Great swing set. Wanted one that would last the grand children. I think this one will do the trick.

This swing set is a beast and I'm so pleased with it so far. Every time we look at the window at it, we mutter to ourselves "wow, that's a big swing set..." Think playground size.Swapped out one of the saddle swings with a toddler bucket swing without any difficulty.Assembly was not too difficult. I was able to assemble about 90% of it by myself but definitely needed help with the last few steps, including standing the swing set upright. I hate asking for help as much as the next guy, but don't be a hero--get some help for the last few steps.
