I thought these would be good for beginners based on the reviews...I was sadly wrong. I doubt it's a defective product as nothing gives off that impression. But once we started using the shuttlecocks the feathers started disintegrating - even from some serving practice! Me and the others who used it are beginners so we don't hit the shuttlecocks hard, but we noticed that after a few minutes of play it became harder to hit the shuttlecocks and they started going off course. We used some yonex ones afterwards which were dramatically better - I would recommend sticking to the main brands as these "highly rated Amazon ones" are terrible.
