Needed for a "couch gaming" PC running a 5800x3d (which runs a toasty 105w), despite being in a small PC case this keeps the cpu well within acceptable thermal ranges under gaming loads (around 55-60c) and even after heat soaking. This keeps boost clocks active for longer and subsequently frame times smooth and consistent. It's also insanely silent compared to say my Peerless Assassin or Sharkoons I use on older gaming rigs.Came with all bracket for AM4 and was a simple "bracket and screws" job. Tower fins were pristine (which is impressive). Also comes with the usual 15xx/17xx/20xx Intel mounting hardware. More than happy to recommend this, though as a warning: this is a bit of a champagne purchase so only buy it if you want the excess or really must have "the best" for your rig. I'd really like to see what Noctua do with liquid setups if they ever got into that space. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A solid cooler that handles the job well *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 11 July 2026* I bought this as part of a PC cooling upgrade and overall I've been very happy with it.Installation was straightforward, the cooler felt well made, and temperatures were perfectly reasonable for my usage while keeping noise levels under control.Like the other Noctua Redux products I've used, it delivers much of the performance and quality the brand is known for without some of the extra accessories and premium packaging of the standard range.The only thing I'd mention is that if you're running particularly high-end CPUs or planning heavy overclocking, you may want to look at something larger or more substantial. For normal gaming and everyday use though, this cooler performed very well.Overall, it's a solid CPU cooler that did exactly what I wanted it to do and I'd happily recommend it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent CPU cooler for the price, from one of the most respected brands *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 21 May 2021* I was looking around for an aftermarket CPU cooler at this price point and saw the recent video on Linus Tech Tips about this coming out - it was right in my price range so I didn't even need a second thought to buy!This fit perfectly in a Fractal Meshify C MicroATX case. Easy to install on an AM4 socket with pre-applied thermal paste, and it reduced CPU temps under a full stress-testing load from around 83 celsius to barely breaking 70 (Ryzen 5 3600, running at around 4.0-4.2GHz when boosted. From videos I've seen, this performace matches even the more expensive non-redux version. The fan is nearly silent on day-to-day gaming load, and with the right fan curve, barely even needs to go up to full power (where it will be as loud as any other CPU cooler in this price bracket, but will definitely shift some air!).Noctua are one of the most respected brands in computer cooling for very good reason - they are excellently made, have what is widely regarded as the best mounting system in the industry, and thier products deliver on performance. I have also heard thier customer support is excellent, not that I've needed it.
