how many forever stamps does this take?

This card is HEAVY.  It weighs 2.6 ounces.  One first class forever stamp is for 1 ounce, FYI.   This card is also THICK about half an inch unopened.  Generally postal counters retail allow up to 12 ounce first class (requiring more than one stamp), but that is for a thin envelope.  The process of the envelopes are done by machine and they have a resistance to the thickness they grab.  Think of pinchers.  Anything thicker than standard the machine can't grab or pinch it and it kicks out.  So technically this is not a one stamp first class postage.  I know I am reading some that said one stamp did the trick.  But remember one stamp is for ONE ounce.  This card is two times that and then some PLUS thicker than standard thickness.  It measures 6 inches by 8.25 and the thickness of 1/2 inch.  The postal counter has a thickness gauge.  If it fits in the slot you are golden.  If it doesn't the price hike will kill you.  I am estimating 3.78 old rate to mail the card.  I would go in and have it HAND CANCELED as well.  This will ensure it does not get jammed or forced through the machine.  If you want your recipient to get it in good shape hand cancel.  I will be putting two pieces of card board in an manilla envelope and this in the inside.  I don't want the button to the music to activate and or lights and burn out before they receive.  I want to pad it.   It's a pain, but this card is epic and worth the effort to protect it.  Under postage this time of year will either be put in a pile, returned to you for more postage (put your recipient's address in the return) or your recipient could be asked to PONY UP THE DIFFERENCE.  Woo Hoo scrooge, thanks for making me pay for my card!  (Pirate ship offers a poly bag mailer option you only pay for two dim postage).
