I adore this thing, in spite of my face hickey (it was my fault)
This is the second one I have bought for our household. I wonโt go outside without it. We are recent transplants to Florida, and these are the meanest mosquitoes Iโve ever met. Sure, the Louisiana mosquitoes are the size of hummingbirds, but theyโre not real go-getters unless youโre in the swamp. These Florida mosquitoes are sociopathic. Insanely aggressive and their bites are nasty and itchy. AND THEY ARE IN OUR BACKYARD! Two days ago I was in the yard and was attacked by a gang of these creatures. They dive-bombed me from all angles and chomped down on me more or less simultaneously. Side note: At the same time I learned that โnaturalโ bug repellent made with essential oils might work on less ambitious mosquitoes, but it didnโt work with these. I ran inside to avoid further attack and grabbed the Bug Thing. I had a huge bite on my forehead (one of 12 bites in total), and it itched like crazy. I didnโt want to do to my face what I did to my arm a few years ago, scratching like a maniac while I slept and ending up with a scarred arm and blood-stained sheets. So I busted out the Bug Thing. In my eagerness to get rid of the itching, and because the bite was big, I kept the suction going for a long time. Too long, as it turns out. I didnโt read the instructions with our first Bug Thing, because it seemed self-explanatory, but the devilโs always in the details, isnโt it? Turns out, thereโs a big fat warning about not using it on your face. Who knew? (Everyone who read the instructions, but not the girl with the big purple circle on her forehead.) I regret NOTHING. This thing works amazingly well, and so what if I have a quarter-sized love bite on my forehead? Big whoop. THE BUG THING IMMEDIATELY STOPPED THE ITCHING. Bruises go away; scars from fingernails, not so much. Another word of advice: I bought several of a knock-off brand, thinking, โItโs a plastic barrel with a plunger, how hard could it be to replicate?โ I guess fairly hard, because the knock-offs were flimsy and I couldnโt really get a good vacuum with them. I mean, I guess I wouldnโt have been able to suck a ridiculous bruise to the surface of my face with one of the knock-offs, but I probably wouldnโt have been able to suck the itch juice out of my skin, either. Iโd much rather have a bruise than a bite. Anyway, this thing is awesome, just donโt use it on your faceโฆor do. I would100% do it again.

Stop those itchy bugs
I saw this on Shark Tank and thought that if it worked it would be worth the money. I seem to be prone to bug bites. Well I testify it does work. I haven't tried it for wasp or bee, but it works for mosquitoes and that it good enough for me. All my grandchildren ages 8 and up used it as well, and stopped itching those pesky mosquito bites. No battery, it was easy for all of us to use. It's a good size to put in your first aide kit when you are camping or hiking.

Definitely worth Trying! It may help you!
As I get older mosquito bites are becoming a real problem. I hate bug spray but forced to use it constantly. If you use this shortly after you discover your itching from a bite 8 times out of 10 it should work. Prevents the bite from going further and never bothering you again or at least diminishes the itch so much that itโs not a problem anymore. Leaves a ring that disappears quick enough on your skin. For elderly adults I would caution to not leave the suction too long for I could see it bruising their skin. I keep it in my bag and feel happy to be able to help myself should I get a bite. Not hard to use and may give you relief. Worth checking out. Itโs an ok price. I will see how long this gadget lasts. But I get the impression itโs not going to lose its suction might anytime soon .

Decent Tool for Quick Relief, But Not a Miracle Fix
The Bug Bite Thing is a clever little gadget โ the white color makes it easy to find, and itโs lightweight enough to toss in a bag or keep on a nightstand. It does help with pain relief and itching a bit after mosquito bites, though itโs not a complete fix. Sometimes you have to use it more than once for noticeable results. Quality-wise, it feels sturdy, and the suction works well when applied properly. Itโs small, so storage isnโt an issue, but it doesnโt make a huge difference for every bite. I didnโt notice much improvement in sleep quality since some bites still itched afterward, but for a quick, chemical-free option, itโs decent value for the money.

It works!!
THANK YOU!! Let me give you the rundown on this. I swell up like a balloon from mosquito bites and I will literally itch for days. If you can put this thing on your bite within a few hours you'll be in really good shape but what we do is literally put it on the same bite 2 to 3 times and yes it does make a hickey mark and yes I do not care - at all. I'd rather have a round hickey mark on top of my bite and no itching any day of the week. The only thing I will say is if it bites you on a part of your body that doesn't have a lot of flesh like the front of your shin, or tonight I was bitten on the top of my hand, it doesn't suck very well because there's just not enough flesh/fat for it to grab. Everywhere else on my body it does a tremendous job! Those little %$#@ bit the crap out of my hand tonight because it was the only thing that I didn't have covered! I'm super grateful for this because nothing else works for me!!

This silly little thing actually WORKS
I am a security guard and am often posted outside for 10-12 hours a night. My current post is guarding the outside of a building that has a small parking lot. A wash (desert equivalent of a ravine/river) sits right on the other side of the chainlink fence that follows the perimeter of this parking lot. And it's currently monsoon season so this wash is full of water/muck/tall grasses and all the flying insects that come with still water. (Mostly mosquitos and chiggers) So I'm stuck sitting about 6-20 feet away from it. I also don't have working ac in my truck so I roll the windows down. Needless to say, despite wearing literally THREE different kinds of insect repellant, I still get bit. A LOT. Personally, I don't think this thing actually removes the toxins from your skin. But I think it does do a decent job of bringing the venom/mosquito spit upwards toward the surface of your skin, enough to make the itch subside. Also, the feeling of the surprisingly powerful suction feels SOOOOO GOOD on the itchy bite. Does it work every single time? No. (It does NOT work on chigger bites, unfortunately, but if you look this up you'll discover that chiggers don't bite like gnats, mosquitoes, etc do. So this would make sense) But this thing works well enough for me to carry it with me whenever I go, and to absolutely recommend it to anyone who asks. It's also super easy to clean. I would 100% buy again. Side note: if you watch any of Coyote Peterson's venomous bite videos, you'll see he uses a professional-looking version of this little device. His is much bigger and is made of strong glass, and I'm pretty sure his actually DOES draw the venom all the way out of the skin, but either way when I saw him using it I was so excited. Him using the same sort of technology as this (in my mind) proves that it works. Lol. Update: so this thing DOES have the ability to suck out the venom. Sorry this pic is kind of gross TMI, but I applied heat to this bug bite and then used the bug bite thing 2x and wouldn't you know, there's something being sucked out if the bite here, as you can see in this close-up picture. I am satisfied. Lol.

"How much did you spend on that hickie maker?"
That was my wife's comment when I opened the package. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical myself because, well, it looks like there is no way this thing would work. It isn't high tech and it isn't all that sexy and it really did look like I had been swindled out of a ten spot... but then I tried it. The mosquitoes are bad this year, and by bad I mean they are big and aggressive and there are a ton of them. When we go outside it's like a huge squadron of Luftwaffe have come to attack us. The plague of gnats had nothing on the plague of mosquitoes we are experiencing. We love to garden and it is impossible to even go into the garden without either Deeting or wearing netting. It's bad and we get bit a lot. The only reaction I get to a bite is a bit of itching, but my wife has more severe reactions and suffers with itching and pain for over a week. I was looking for a solution and came across this little gem. The first time I used it I wasn't expecting relief. I just suctioned on the bite and didn't think about it again. Then I realized I didn't think about it again... because there was no itch. I was completely itch free. My wife tried it and she had no bug bite symptoms either. It is the weirdest little bug bite cure thing on the market, but it works. We had a pizza party on the deck the day I received this and we were passing this thing around like a group of addicts. There was an MD in the group and he was extremely skeptical, but by the end of the night he had placed an order for one. I also use this on the hives I get from tall grass and stick abrasions when working outside and it diminishes that itching as well. One Caveat - Do not suction your face with this because it really will leave a very nice, perfectly round hickie. You've been warned.

Surprisingly effective for mosquito bites โ great for the whole family
I was skeptical about the Bug Bite Thing at first, but after using it several times on fresh mosquito bites, I have to admit โ it actually works. Itโs a simple suction tool that pulls out irritants like saliva or venom left behind by bugs, and it really does reduce swelling and itchiness if you use it right after getting bitten. The tool is compact, easy to clean, and safe for kids and adults. Itโs painless, though the suction feels a little weird at first. Iโve used it on mosquito bites and minor bee stings with noticeable relief within minutes โ especially on those bites that normally swell up and itch like crazy for days. A few tips: Use it ASAP after the bite for best results. Donโt over-suction โ it can leave a small red mark if you hold it too long. Doesnโt work as well on older bites or tick bites. Pros: Drug-free, chemical-free relief Works quickly when used immediately Safe for all ages Reusable and travel-friendly Cons: Requires some trial and error to use properly Not effective on all types of bites (e.g., spider or old bites) Can leave temporary redness if overused Overall, this is a great tool to have on hand, especially if youโre outdoors a lot or have kids who attract every mosquito in a 10-mile radius. Itโs not a miracle cure, but it really helps take the edge off bites without the need for creams or meds. ๐ If this review helped, feel free to click โHelpfulโ โ I always appreciate it!

This works!
I got totally feasted on when I naively walked in the woods early recently, I had a whole host of painful bites both mosquito and horsefly that were so bad I was having to elevate my legs and keep them on ice! I used antihistimine and all the usual creams etc. Nothing was working, but then I came across this clever gadget and it's been a complete game changer! It is really easy to use and instantly deals with the maddening itching by drawing out the irritant left behind by the biter. Within hours, my legs have finally returned to normal and I am confident that next time I get bitten, I will know exactly what to do! So worth buying, chemical free and will last a long time as it's good quality. I can't believe I haven't come across this in the past. Worth buying!

So many uses!!! Love it!
Used it four times this year alone during the summer season! I have had mine for over a year. It drastically reduce the pain level and the reaction of being stung by a bee, hornet, even mosquito bites! I even bought one for my son this year, who works outdoors as a first responder, and he used it on spider bites. A simple tool and yet so effective!
