Sent mine back. Used them once in the woods. Did not enhance my hearing for hunting. **Q: Do these actually act as ear protectuion good enough for shooting or are they only hearing enhancement?** A: Walker's website states that they have a 29dB NRR. And from personal use at the target-range I can confirm that they work very well as far as ear protection. **Q: Will these work to reduce wind and engine noise on a motorcycle?** A: Yes and no, yes if wearing a helmet. Not much when not wearing a helmet. I guess so much wind noise on the ears at 70mph bypasses the ear buds when not wearing a helmet. **Q: Can a young kid use these?** A: The unit comes with 3 sizes of foam cushions for different size ear canals. I don't know if the smallest will fit a kids ear or be too uncomfortable. I am waiting for them to go on sale again to get another pair. I have been putting it off cause they have not failed yet. I use the heck out of them and I thought that by now they would quit but they still work like day one. I have had to replace the foam parts but walkers included extra in the case, so no issues. My only complaint and its not really a complaint is that the wire can sometimes get stuck on clothing or skin. But I have combated this by putting the wire through my hat adjuster and no issues after.
