Can you take the lid totally off if necessary?

I’m not sure you can. If you did you might risk breaking it completely. The lid is handy and keeps out dust.

Does the height (37CM) include the handle in the upward position? What is the height with the handle down?

The unit is 41cm high with the handle up. The handle can swing down and behind the unit, so that you can open the top section. I never use the handle, unless I pick it up to clean.

What are the sizes (in cm) of the drawers?

Cannot give you an exact measurement but I have cotton wool buds in my draws as well as cotton wool itself plus my makeup hair band what I use when I’m taking off makeup. It is a good buy for all of my cleansing products.
