The covers on these are very solid, like laminated hardcover book material, which is more durable than paper or cardboard. You can even stand this sketchbook up like an easel. The paper is only 68 lbs, but thick enough to take markers and pens. Not sure if I'd do extensive washes or anything more wet than linework. Love the size and the spiral at the short end. Pages are perforated, which is nice for taking out pages neatly. Very happy, especially for the price.

These sketchbooks are absolutely perfect! My daughter uses them every single day for what we call her “picture of the day.” She paints or draws something new each day, and I’m keeping them all in these pads so she’ll have a full collection to look back on someday — or maybe I’ll treasure them as a keepsake of her creativity and growth. PERFECT sketch book for acrylic markers! Straight to the point, the quality for the value is unbeatable! I paid $15 for the two books, a total of 100 pages. Brand names charge a dollor or more per page at times! I also like that each book has 50 pages. Competitors had mostly 20 pages options and that just isn't enough. I don't need to carry FIVE different books. Two is perfect! I used Grabie Acrylic markers. I noticed reviews claimed the pages leaked through. I had no such issues with heavy, HEAVY inking. There's probably 30 layers or more on some sections of my dragon drawing. And I went to town with mixing colors when wet. No pilling. No leaking. No wrinkles or warping. It handled some rough treatment. I also love that they are dual hard cover. It's definitely going to help them last and protect the corners better. And the spiral being at the top is also a welcome feature. I happen to be right handed but I like that it wouldn't matter on this sketchbook. I also bought the larger yellow version but the quality of the paper and covers are identical. The paper is acid-free so it shouldn't yellow or deteriorate. I've never had a problem from acid-free before, but if something happens in 10 years I'll come back and let you know lol! I'm over the moon for these sketchpads! The fact that they are off brand doesn't matter. If anything they offer better quality than you can get elsewhere. I will mention, they are MARKER pads. And the people who said they struggled with this paper were using alcohol markers. I used acrylic. If you do use alcohol markers, you may have to be slightly gentler on the paper. It can handle a LOT! But I don't think it should be as wet as water color. 11/10 for me and my purposes! <3

These notebooks are a personal favorite. I use them mostly for note-taking, which might be overkill, but it's so much more enjoyable to write notes on thick, beautiful paper, and to hold something this sturdy in my hand, especially if I don't have the benefit of a table.

Overall this is a great sketchbook for a wonderful price. I purchased as a gift and because it is a two-pack was able to split it and give to two people. The pages are a little more narrow than expected, but great for drawing. The paper is a good thickness and erases well. Small enough to pack with you.

This paper is good for gel pens fountain pens and etc, I like it I have been buying this pads in a two set for awhile and every now and then you can get them here on Amazon on sale, good price for them, don’t tell anyone because then they will raise the price to an ugly price. The paper stays crisp and the spirals do not get in the way it is a very good product and hopefully I will continue to purchase this product in the future as usual. Paper thickness is good it is not thin I do not know the weight of the paper but it is very adequate for sketching drawing doodling, I am using the paper right this minute I have two full pages left in this notebook!!! It is really good sturdy rip resistant paper or crumble resistant paper.

Ordered a two-pack of these sketch pads. They were nicely packaged and the sketch pads were crisp and clean. The spiral top is great for left hand sketchers— no dragging my hand through the ink. The paper quality is great and takes the ink very well.
