As long as you unlock it before plugging it into the computer, the computer will see it as just another USB disk. It won't even know that the data on the physical storage within the disk are encrypted. If you don't unlock it first, it won't even tell the computer that it IS a disk. The computer's USB controller will probably feed it power, which it uses to charge its internal battery, but from what I've seen the primary operating system (macOS, Linux/chrome/android, or even windows if you're into that kind of self-abuse) won't even be aware that a device is plugged into the port. **Q: Would this be good for storing Bitcoin keys?** A: I use it to store my most secret items.
