Washed and Dried!!
I initially bought two of these USB-C/USB-A dual thumb drives to use as backups for my data. I like them because they are compact, reliable, fast, and very convenient. I like that it's easy to carry around in my purse since it's so small. Also, my laptop has a USB-C port and two USB-A ports, so I really like the flexibility that I can use this thumb drive in any of those.Everything was going along fine using these for my regular data backups until....I put one of these thumb drives in my pocket and forgot about it, and sent it through the clothes washer and also put it into the dryer and "dried" it. I heard the clacking around in the dryer and...there it was. And when I took it out of the dryer, it was HOT. At that point, I decided to immediately buy an identical replacement for that one, and not take a chance on continuing to use it. I didn't want to risk that the washed one would fail on me sooner or later, have shorter lifespan, or loose any data. After receiving the third one (the replacement) and doing my regular backup onto it, I then decided to try to the one that I inadvertently washed and dried and....it works perfectly with no loss of data. At least so far.So for now, I have THREE of these and am keeping the washed one as an additional backup thumb drive.I really like the convenience of these thumb drives, the dual USB-C/USB-A ends, the large amount of data that they hold, and the reliability. I don't recommend that you send them through the washer and dryer like I did, but if you do so, well, now you know that it will probably continue to work!I recommend this thumb drive and am very happy with it!I write honest reviews to help others make informed purchases because I read reviews myself and appreciate how helpful they can be. I hope that my review helped you!

Keeps the workflow moving
The SanDisk 32GB Ultra Dual Drive USB Type-C works exactly as it should — fast, stable, and reliable. In my case, this specific drive is required to complete software updates on Nissan products per the manufacturer’s guidelines. These have been on back order for months through Nissan, so I sourced this model directly, had it in hand within two days, installed the software, and was able to get customers back on the road without further delay.Performance has been consistent, and compatibility has been spot on for the intended use. No corruption issues, no failed updates — just plug in and go.At this point, I’ve purchased around 16 of these because they simply work. If you need a dependable dual USB-C / USB-A drive for professional use, this one gets it done.

Great little thumb drive, Does actually work with IPhone 15
I’ve had this thumb drive for close to a year now and find it very reliable and convenient for transferring files from my different devices to my laptop. I recently got an iPhone 15 PM and was curious if it would work on it since the new iPhones now have USB C ports rather than lightning ports. I got on here and checked the reviews to see if anyone else had tried it or asked the question of whether it’s compatible or not. To my disappointment all the questions that were answered about it it indicated it didn’t work and that iOS didn’t recognize it and the SanDisk app doesn’t recognize it. Wanting to double check and verify myself I went to the App Store and re-downloaded a couple of Sandisks apps that I had previously used and gave it a shot. To my dismay the reviews were right and the App Store software from the manufacturer does not recognize it. I still wasn’t satisfied with that outcome so I plugged it in again and opened the “Files” app which is the iOS native software that comes on it from the factory. I hit the back button a couple times and got to the “On My Phone” folder and was delighted to see that the IPhone recognizes the thumb drive natively with no extra software required to use it and you get an extra 256 GB of storage(depending on your model). It works like any drive would on your PC. You can create folders, save any type of document you want and even have the option to format the drive if you so choose. Just wanted to pass this along to anyone who was wondering and may not be totally familiar with the iPhone. The only negative thing that I have to say about this drive, is that it does get rather warm when plugged in and using it via the USB port. It’s not really anything that causes any problems, but I can’t imagine it’s good for the lifespan of the drive running that hot.

Tiny size, mediocre write speed, works with Android phone.
If you are using as a backup and for file transfers, I would go with the much faster and ergonomically superior SanDisk Extreme PRO Dual Drive (I have two of those and they are on my recommended list), more expensive but not by much per GB. I purchased this 128 GB Ultra drive to use for music playback in a car and with a home theater receiver, and once you get it loaded with tunes it works okay. It's tiny in size. Price is average for this type drive. The small slider clicks into place for insertion into A or C port. The lanyard holes are very small -- you will need to use a piece of fishing line or nylon thread and loop it through the lanyard string, then push the ends of the fishing line through the holes and pull the lanyard string through. Speed -- sluggish write speeds using either SS USB-C or SS USB-A ports using the FAT32 manufacturer formatting. Got warm transferring 6GB of .mp3 files. Read speeds seem okay. Overall impression: average write speeds, it syncs quickly in both USB-C and -A ports, and works with compatible Android phones, plug and play. I give it a 3.6 star rating, rounding up to 4. Seems like a good quality drive, but the aforementioned Extreme Pro Dual Drive is a much better choice even at a higher price. (256GB is the smallest size for the Dual,)

100% RECOMMEND. THIS THING WITHSTOOD THE LAUNDRY
First off -- I bought the 256gb version of this in 2024 for $25. To see that the price has since more than doubled is so, so sad. HOWEVER. I'm an overworked grad student -- to say my life is contained in this drive is an understatement. I recently kept this usb in my jean pocket after work and unsuspectingly threw those jeans in the washer. When I realized what I had done, the wash cycle had already finished. I really thought years of data is gone. I plugged the drive in and, lo and behold, MY DATA REMAINED INTACT!!! pretty much uncorrupted.Structurally speaking, I like that neither ends of this dual-compatible drive is completely exposed during storage, thanks to the slider feature. The only downside, and my persistent complaint, is that the USB-C end likes to wiggle up and down as time goes by when protruded, resulting in the inability for the usb-c end to protrude and therefore temporarily unusable. To fix this I need to use a pen or something to stick inside and forcefully align the stuck end back before the slider functions bidirectionally again. It all seems like unnecessary contact with the data-transferring interface of this product and could lead to increased wear and tear down the line. For now, it's just an annoyance. As long as my data remains intact, and it did (through an ENTIRE wash cycle !!!! ), I'm more than happy with it.

One of the Largest USB flash drives with 2 ways to Connect
The value for the price paid is little to high. But that may depend upon who is buying it at the time they are buying. The 256 GB of storage is amble for your storage needs on the go. The installation is straight forward, just plug it in either a UBC-C or a USB-A slot. Its stability is good and it is retractable so that you don't loose caps for the connections.Check out other reviews for full derails for what this can do.I got this for storage for my important files and I like that you are given two ways to connect. My needs don't require to depend upon the speeds as much. Your needs may require it.

SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Type-C: Convenient but Flawed After a Year of Use
After using the SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Type-C drive (16GB, black and silver) for a year, I have a love-hate relationship with it. On the one hand, it’s been incredibly handy for transferring files between my laptop, desktop, and even my smartphone. On the other hand, its design quirks have made me question if it’s the best option for frequent use. What’s Great About It1. Dual Connectivity Is a LifesaverHaving both USB-A and USB-C connectors has been a game-changer. As someone who regularly switches between an older desktop with USB-A and a MacBook Pro with USB-C, this drive has saved me from the hassle of adapters. It’s also great for quick file transfers to my phone when I’m out and about.2. Compact and PortableThis thing is tiny! It’s easy to throw in a bag or keep in your pocket without worrying about it taking up space. I’ve also clipped it onto my keychain a few times when I needed to bring work files with me. It’s lightweight and surprisingly convenient to carry around.3. Decent Transfer SpeedsWhile not blazing fast, the speed is solid enough for everyday tasks like moving documents, photos, and even medium-sized video files. It’s not going to win any speed awards, but for its price and size, it’s reliable. What’s Not So Great1. The Sliding Mechanism: A Frustrating Design FlawHere’s where things go south. The sliding mechanism for switching between the USB-A and USB-C connectors feels cheap and poorly thought out. Over time, it’s become harder to push, and sometimes the USB-C connector doesn’t extend fully, leading to a loose or unreliable connection. It’s one of those small annoyances that builds up over time, especially when you’re in a hurry.2. Build Quality Feels WeakThe plastic body doesn’t inspire confidence. After a year of use, the mechanism feels wobbly, and I’m constantly worried it might snap if I’m not careful. This is not a drive you want to be rough with, which limits its practicality for heavy-duty use.3. Limited Capacity (for Some Models)I opted for the 16GB model, and let’s just say I’ve run out of space more than once. If you’re dealing with large files regularly, you’ll need to spring for a higher-capacity version or look elsewhere.Who Is This For?This drive is great if you’re someone who occasionally transfers files between old and new devices, especially if you’re not dealing with massive amounts of data. It’s compact, affordable, and gets the job done most of the time. But if you’re a heavy user or rely on this for frequent, on-the-go transfers, the frustrating design flaws will start to wear on you.Final Thoughts: Is It Worth It?The SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Type-C drive is a mixed bag. The dual connectivity is super handy, and its compact size makes it easy to take anywhere. But the frustrating sliding mechanism and flimsy build quality hold it back from being a truly great product.Would I recommend it? For occasional use, sure. But if you’re a regular user who needs something more robust and seamless, you might want to consider alternatives like the Samsung Duo Plus or Kingston DataTraveler Bolt, which offer similar functionality with better design and durability.Rating After a Year: 3.5/5It’s convenient, but the little design flaws add up over time. With a better sliding mechanism, this could have been a fantastic gadget.

Storage Success
It was value for money and does what it is designed for, but when plugging in you have to push hard on slide button to make it lock in or it will not work.

Petite clé compacte bien pratique
Elle est assez rapide et elle est reconnue sans problème sur un Mac. Je m'en sers pour faire une clé bootable sur mon Mac au cas où. On ne sait jamais on peut toujours en avoir besoin un jour.
