Is it safe to sleep on it?

I would be very reluctant to advise anyone to sleep on it. I use this device in my practice as a therapeutic aid to allow my clients to experience a little passive stretching and traction to their lower spine, prior to a full body massage. The height of the arch is 3.75", and the foam material is very dense and solid. I assist my clients in very slowly and gently laying back onto this spine stretcher, and limit their time laying back on it to 20 minutes. I also assist them in sitting back up from it, and have them walk around slowly for a few minutes to allow the spine and surrounding lower back muscles a chance to adjust and settle down, before taking them in to the treatment room for massage.
