Plenty Big Easy to Use Easy to Clean
Love, love, love. Glad I listened to the reviewer who said this size was big enough for most uses. I was looking at the larger one with all the bells and whistles but now that I have this one it's more than enough. It is pretty large for one person, probably too big, but I make it work. It can easily feed 3 people comfortably. It heats up quickly and cooks foods just as it should. My maiden run was with a recipe from Just One Cookbook and it was delish. It cleans like a dream - no burned food or sauce. I have many Zojirushi products and they have all been well worth the money and function exactly as they should. The fuzzy logic rice cookers are also excellent.

Bought for camping, but also serves as a great home skillet
First off, the price clearly justifies itself because this is a quality peice. The metal skillet can be removed when hot, via the insulated handles. It also has a second set of handles so you can move the entire unit while hot. The outer 'shell', stays cool. There is no 'hot bottom' as with other skillets. I did a test with a full pan of water, and it boiled in less than 10 minutes with the lid on... however, I learned that with the lid off, it will only lightly boil. So, don't expect a full pan to actually have a 'rolling boil'. I did try it with about a half inch of oil, and it did get to the highest temp that I set it at within minutes. The 'pan' is about one eight inch thick, so it does have plenty of metal for a pan. Not flimsy. Over all, I guess that the only downside is that it will only lightly boil when it has a full pan of liquid uncovered. Covered, however, does give a rolling boil. But otherwise, it does do a great job, and handling, ergonomics, etc.... it's a fantastic buy for the price. Given the other 'skillets' that are around 20 - 30 bucks, I would easily buy this again any day. I've also used it while camping. I use a honda generator and breakfast (AND hot water for coffee took less that 15 minutes. That beats having to smell like charcoal or burning wood / smoke. This thing is a beast. You will love it.

BIG- AWESOME...GLORIOUS COOKING
I just received this yesterday and oh my its BIG!!! I didn't expect it to be that big but I'm not complaining, in fact I'm happy its big I can cook a large meal and save it in the fridge to eat all week. I am not going to be using my stove after this. I have an old stove and this is why I got this, it was driving me crazy- taking forever to cook, and doesn't heat evenly. My stove has only ONE large burner (Ridiculous) I can't exactly buy a new stove either because I live in an apartment:( ANYWAY...this is my savior now. I will not touch that stupid stove again. I can grill my salmon in here, make my stews, rice, eggs- whatever. I made my first meal in this last night. Chicken curry- awesome result. Easy to clean too. I might get another one for a friend as a gift... Get it. You're going to enjoy it. Just make sure you have enough counter space... its HUGE! ****UPDATE** I bought this item in January 2013, today is July 31st 2014 and it's still working. It has served me VERY well. I've enjoyed making stews and all sorts of things with it I rarely use my stove. Anyway this update is to just say that the non-stick coating inside is chipping really bad. Maybe it's due to heavy use? I don't know. I try to be kind to it when washing, I don't scrub too hard or use harsh scrubbing sponges etc.... I'm considering purchasing another one as I'm concerned with the chipping stuff. However, overall good product, I just hoped that it would last, remain intact for a little longer than 16 or so months... Just something to keep in mind before you buy. I love this company by the way, I have other products from them.

High quality electric skillet
I needed a replacement for n older electric skillet that lost its non stick feature. I was called "foldaway" and had the option to remove the skillet from the base, and I was looking for something like that again. The same brand now makes a larger one but not my 12x12" anymore. After long research I decided for the Zojirushi, the cooking plate can be removed and the entire appliance is very attractive. I have used it twice by now and the results have been excellent. I can remove the power cord and set the entire skillet on the table, it keeps the food warm while we are eating. I have one minor complaint about the temperature control, which is hard to see and not digital. Maybe it should light up when connected to power? Maybe it should be digital? Maybe I just have to get used to. A nice thing is that the power cord is longer than the usual power cords for these kind of appliances.

Good value
Happy with purchase. Solid and steady. Heat distribution excellent. Heat on highest setting is adequate for browning. Temperature on lowest setting is a tad high for warming. Overall happy with purchase. I think good value compared to less expensive models. Clean up super easy. Good size and shape for fitting in a cabinet.

One of the best kitchen appliances I've ever owned
This has honestly been a blessing in the kitchen, and I use it more than I thought I would, and for more. I originally purchased this intending to use it for hot pot, but after seeing how well it worked and how easy it was to clean, I decided to try it for other things. I've made breakfast in this (eggs, hash browns, pancakes, bacon, etc.), slow-simmered a small roast, grilled a few things from burgers to burritos, and after cleaning each time it still looks and works as it did the day I received it. It's not only now my favorite kitchen appliance, overtaking even my Instant Pot, but it has totally sold me on the Zojirushi brand. Their products can be more expensive than others, but if this is any indicator, the quality is excellent and well worth the investment. I love this so much that I bought one for my family that lives across the country - hopefully that they use it as much as I do, but if not, then at least there will be one there for me to use when I happen to visit!

Love it, good quality!
I like the glass lid on the pot. It makes us see the food clearly. There are several choices for choosing temperatures , and suitable for the difference steps while cooking. It’s very easy to heat up and clean. I would recommend to my friends too. If the company sells the divided pot separately, that’s wonderful.
