I thought this type with a solid screw going into a stud would be stronger than the ones with a flange and two holes, but it isn’t. They bend quite easily at the point where the rod steps down. Plus there’s a new challenge - drilling the pilot into the stud perfectly straight and level.I will not trust these with very much weight at all, they barely seem to support the shelf itself and sag under its weight.
