Keyboard Replacement for Dell inspiron 15 3000 5000 3541 3542 3543 3551 3552 3558 3593 5542 5545 5547 5755 5551 5558 5552 5758 5759 5559, inspiron 17 5000 5748 5749 5755 5758 5759 Laptop with Backlit

I purchased this keyboard to repair a friend’s Latitude 5558. The quality of this keyboard seems to equal the original Dell part. The repair job takes only a few minutes because the keyboard unclips along its top edge. Unclip the old keyboard, open the connector(s), install the new ribbon cables, close the connectors and pop the keyboard into place. That’s it. As as added bonus, this keyboard is backlit which the original from Dell was not. The Latitude already has the connector for the backlight ribbon, so this was a nice easy upgrade.

Worked great to replace the original factory key board that was having issues, very easy to replace and functions the same as original. As a bonus it even came with black plastic key cover so I didn't have to reuse the old one, looks like a brand new laptop again! Very pleased with the purchase, and what a great price

I had been struggling with my eight-year-old laptop for a few months and thought I probably needed a new one, but a new keyboard and battery have it running like new again! (I hate having to set up new computers, phones, etc. -- it's such a waste of my limited brain cells.) It was easy to install -- YouTube showed me how. It took less than five minutes, and it was up and running again. Wish I'd've done this months ago!

This keyboard is the worst. The spacebar only works if you touch it in the dead center. A lot of times the spacebar will give double spaces Many of the keys have to be hit extra hard or they don't type. This keyboard is barely usable for business.

Bought it to fix wife's computer because she writes so much content for the internet and she wore out the original keyboard. Fits perfect but wife hated it. It seemed to not work well or the keys maybe not making good contact? Required pressing some keys several times to work. She gave up on it and got another laptop. I got the laptop and kept using it. eventually it seemed the keys gradually worked better. The more I used it the better the key response was. I don't usually use a laptop but at least the computer is fixed now when I want one. Suspect keyboards been stored for so long the switch contacts inside might take some time to break through whatever corrosion inside. Depending on your patience, or luck it hard to say whether to buy this.

This keyboard took less than 5 minutes to install. Works great...keys feel great. The keyboard IS backlit. Perfect replacement for my malfunctioning keyboard. A+

Adicate for my 2nd laptop, but keys sometimes don't make contact.

After reading the reviews I was concerned about the quality of this keyboard but it works great. No issues with keys, backlight works well and it was extremely easy to replace.
