Worked Surprisingly Well
My outdoor furniture cushions needed replacing. When I went to order them online, they would not be available for more than 6 months. In the meantime, I was left with extremely faded cushions. I took the plunge and bought the Rust-oleum Outdoor Fabric Paint in dark red. I first washed the cushions and let them dry. I then did a test spot on the bottom of one of the chair cushions. I first tried the color that looks like Caribbean blue. It came out very splotchy. When I tried the dark red, it was great. I waited until it dried to make sure I liked it before preceding. I have a very large outdoor couch and two wingback chairs . I used 12 cans of spray paint. It is pricey, but the cost to replace my cushions would be/will be over $1000. It took me several days to paint them. It did take multiple coats, but it is fabric after all and it soaks up the paint quickly. Honestly they could probably still use another coat of paint. The cushions are soft post painting, and they have held up well to us sitting on them after being in the pool. They have also endured the rain. I was able to buy most of the paint locally from various stores. I bought two cans from Amazon for touch ups. Overall, I am very happy with this paint.

Do not purchase
The spray tips clog, and after several attempts to unclog them, they clogged to the point of no paint coming out. We have two cans of paint, we cannot use, due to faulty spray tips. I do not recommend this product.

Outdoor Cushion Slipcover Refresher
We are happy so far with the coverage of this product. It remains to be seen how it fairs the sun and rain. The outdoor furniture is 10 years old and still in good condition. I looked and looked for replacement slip covers but was unable to find the right size and shape. This was our last option. It took 5 cans to spray 11 covers. There was a bit of a problem with several of the cans sprayer. Several seemed to get clogged so it took some finessing to get them to spray. It might help to turn them upside down before spraying from them.

Almost perfect
Product is great, the nozzle is a problem. I had to clean it out every 5 seconds to get anything to come out of it. I think the paint product is too thick for that type of spray head. Color is great, coverage is great if you get the nozzle to spray, drying took a long time but that’s dependant on weather and it was a humid day, good size for the price and if I hadn’t had to remove the nozzle it would have been tidy and no leakage but that’s dependant wasn’t the case. Would be great if the can was upgraded. Then this would be a perfect solution to outdoor cushion bleaching.

Like refreshing your lipstick except on cushions!
I absolutely love this product. My cushions had actually faded so much and I could not find replacements without pain in arm and a leg. I did not know that there was paint to use on outdoor cushions so easy to use. My furniture looks brand new again without having to spend money on brand new cushions that are very hard to find anyway.

Not the best spray paint I have ever used.
I purchased this spray on fabric paint to revive a red table umbrella that had begun to fade from sun exposure. I am a frequent user of spray paint and always follow directions regarding shaking, distance from surface, sweeping strokes, etc. Both cans of paint (red), sprayed with very inconsistent aerosol dispersion. One minute I would get droplets of pain, the next just the sound of propellant with no paint, the next a good steady spray that never lasted very long. I shook each can frequently. The coverage was inconsistent, and while the umbrella is now a darker red than it was before using 2 fulls cans, when it's up in the sunlight, you can see a very blotchy, almost tie-dyed appearance to the fabric. Perhaps this would be better for a small surface such as a pillow or seat cushion where light would not show through it? Not impressed, and won't be rushing to purchase this product next time I want to freshen up outdoor fabrics.

The color was perfect, too bad the can delivering the paint was not.
I should have paid more attention to the one-star review especially since there was so many of them. I bought 3 cans, $53.00 so not cheap by any means. As with the other reviews, all 3 clogged within a couple of minutes of using. No matter what thinner, soap/water, OOPS, you name it I tried it, nothing made them work. I tried different nozzles off other Rust-Oleum paint cans, they worked for about 3 minutes, a one minute improvement and then clogged. I worked with those 3 cans for 2 hours and ended up with a blotchy patio umbrella. Shame on Rust-Oleum for continuing to sell a crappy product. The only thing I liked was the color, it was perfect, too bad the can delivering the paint was not. Take all the bad reviews and believe them, do not buy this, you'll be sorry.

Darn good product.
Used this to refurbish two front porch, East-facing, sun drenched fabric chairs. Works beautifully and offers terrific protection.

Kay Worked very well
I attached a little spray unit purchased at Princess Auto to the top of the spray can and it worked wonderfully.

Discontinued for a reason.
Don’t take a gamble and believe the other reviews… I didn’t have clogging issue per say, but two cans of this wasn’t enough to cover four cushions due to the constant giant blobs of paint that would drip from it leaving patches everywhere. I would rather have bought new cushions because I now have to buy another two bottles to try and even out these splotches which has now come to $160. Beyond disappointed and honestly angry with how horrible this product is, no wonder it’s discontinued everywhere.
