My favourite nerf gun by far, and I don't have a small collection by any means. Fires much harder than any N-strike, with the added bonus that the balls hurt much less than the plastic tipped darts. Operated correctly, it never jams, you just have to ensure you pull the slide all the back, and push it forward all the way. The action was a little stiff at first, but quickly loosened up with use. One thing to note: it is LOUD. The spring inside is very powerful, and if you're shouldering it when you fire, the noise is enough to ring in your ear. Not really much of a hazard in the house though - it might be able to knock things over, but the balls have hit my flatscreen TV and pictureframes without doing any damage.

This is by far the best nerf ball shooter in my opinion. We now own most of the Nerf guns both manual re-load and flywheel. The Apollo is very accurate. Always shoots far, and each shot is very consistent with the one before. Never jams, easy to load magazines, and easy to load gun configuration. My son and I have used it so much that it finally broke. We ordered two more! Would recommend for both kids and adults.
