To clean them, I usually use a dish brush and brush off the food a bit in the sink (this also helps clean the waffle texture better), then I throw them in the dishwasher. But that's because of the waffle texture and how it grips to liquids, so sometimes they hold onto water and take a while to dry. It makes it easy to chop veggies and then pick up the board to slide the veggies into the pot/pan. They don't slide around the counter when you're cutting, but they are easily turned by hand if you need to do that. I suspect that's due to the texture on the bottom side. They are easily washed, but with the texture on the top side, we sometimes need to use a brush just to make sure it's cleaned (if we're washing by hand.) They do go into the dishwasher as well, so if you're about to run a load after dinner, just chuck them in with the rest of the dishes. A few folks have made comments that say "knives don't leave marks"; I'm here to say they do, but because these are thick and seem to be of harder plastic than cheap cutting boards, the marks are minor and don't seem to cut the plastic, but rather just leave visual marks. All this is not a negative, but just wanted to comment on it.
