Hands down the greatest tank investment I have made.
So far, this has been the single greatest thing I could have done for my indoor turtle tank. It leaves sufficient room for my rapidly growing shell kids to swim around, while also providing a generous basking area that will. not. sink. when they climb onto it. Literally my only complaint is that my little guy loves basking so much that he took it over and won't let his big sister up onto it when he's there... shouldn't complain though, she's usually the bully in the water so this dock has helped him build confidence. :D I also appreciate that the bottom stays well enough in the water for the plecos to attach and hide in a nice dark area away from the prying eyes of my cats. I was concerned about the turtles making so much mess that the dock would begin to deteriorate or get slimy, but when I installed it I also changed their substrate to sand (quickrete pool sand from home depot, thoroughly rinsed) and have had zero issues. In fact, this is the most spacious and clean their tank has ever been. I believe with proper care, I will have this dock for years to come and I really look forward to installing it in the pond I will eventually make for these little guys. For anyone concerned about the investment, I highly recommend getting it when you can afford it... You will spend more in the long run on a multitude of other dock areas that will only disappoint. If the dimensions of this dock will fit in your tank or pond, it is worth the cost and your shell kids will love you! EDIT: 4 years later and still going strong! I will say, now that the shell kids have grown and are outside in an above ground stock tank pond, they have a tendency to flip this thing, but I think that's a matter of water level from evaporation, so when I have the water up and the dock well anchored it does just fine. I thought about buying a second but they're still able to share it well enough for now. A sort of "fissure" has appeared toward one end, but instead of wrenching on the thing and breaking it, I left it alone and continue to monitor it, and there has been no sign of actual breakage, paint flaking, or any other issues. I can't speak for the nylon cord or bag, as I have mine tied to a faux aquarium log full of rocks, with some bubbler tubing, which has held for YEARS. Still highly recommend this dock!

The XL dock is awesome!
I have a 6inch red eared slider in a 120 gallon tank. (Please excuse the hard water on the glass) He originally had the medium dock and after about a year he was too big for the medium. The XL is huge! It has a ramp on each side. My turtle does not like the basking docks that are enclosed so having the two ramps and the ability to dive off the side if necessary is perfect for him. This one comes with a string and bag that anchors the dock in place. I decided I didn’t want it floating around and had my husband drill holes in the side and just attached the suction cups from his medium dock to this one and it’s perfect. He’s only 6 inches now and will have plenty of room to grow on this basking dock. It barely moves when he climbs onto it. I love it. Totally worth the price

Great size, flimsy material, buy your own rocks.
Great size but like its smaller versions, it is made out of cheap styrofoam that fell apart when I took it out of the box. The foam is soft enough for smaller turtles to nibble on and I can only imagine how much my turtles would ingest with this giant wafer floating around. Like the other reviews, the string attached is flimsier than floss or shoelaces and glaringly omitted in the description is that you need to buy/supply your own rocks to weigh it down.

Honest review
This will be the second pawn dock that I've bought for my snapping turtle, she's a big girl. I've had her for 25 years and this is the only dock that she does not sink. Assembly is easy. I just let it float around in the tank. If fits well in her 80 gallon tank and quality is great. Is lightweight it just floats.

Works great for Large & heavy red-eared slider
Perfect size for a Large red-eared slider. Ms. Myrtle is 8.5 yrs old and has grown to a size of 9.5" long and 7.5" wide. She's a big heavy girl and she does not sink this turtle dock. She is currently in a 55 gallon tank. The dock is approximately 11" wide X 22" long and fits quite well. It took some time for her to get used to getting up on the floating dock and she loves the extra swimming room underneath. Shortening the string on the rock bag as others recommended and also tieing it to the lamp post helps to keep the dock more stable. Happy with the dock even if it was a little pricier. Worth it to see Ms. Myrtle have extra room and happy on her new basking dock!

XL Platform
There is nothing out there for an adult sized turtle that can be used in a pond. You have to build something, so when I saw this I was excited. My girl loves the koi pond I have, mainly because having a large tank that is enjoyable for a 7inch turtle that can grow to be 12inches is not easy to deal with. Anyway, when I saw this I bought it. I do not think the price fits it, and it is for sure overpriced. I do not like the material very much because it does remain wet and does not seem to stay dry very well. It bled when I cleaned it, and the platform does not stay in place very well. I finally just removed the string, attached the bag, and added rocks because the draw stings on the bag are so long. Now, this is in an almost 6ft pond. The bag touches the bottom even after removing the string and tying the string bags to the platform. That is some long strings. Despite these flaws, it works well for what I need it to do and is large. It fits perfectly in the corner of my pond, and I love that it goes slightly into the water. The material allows for my turtle (who does not do well with most ramps) to get on it and bask. She was on it within 10mins, and she seemed rather content on it. She uses it to hide as well, and she loves to push it around like a toy. I love that she is able to enjoy the sun, mostly because she has not wanted to bask on everything I built for her. She has gone three months without getting on anything including a custom ramp and platform. For her to love this one came as a surprise and a relief. I look forward to enjoying her more watching her bask. I also love it looks so natural. To be honest, I could not even tell it was fake. The platform looks like a large stone, and I even prepared to lift it up only to realize how light it was. I loved that it looks so natural while not disturbing the look of my pond. Great product.

Broken during shipment
Item arrived split. Looks like a decent product, nice and large. They just need to work on packaging from the manufacturer. Not really sure if it’s worth it if it breaks that easy

Platforms massive
Came early, for the price I thought it would have came with some sort of weight to hold platform in place. Apart from that it suits my turtle platform doesn’t sink an loads of room for my 10inch turtle

Reliable and Well-Loved by My Turtle
My red-eared slider uses this dock every day. It’s sturdy, floats well, and gives her plenty of space to bask. The suction cups hold strong, and the ramp makes it easy for her to climb up. A great addition to any turtle tank.

Love it
Works amazing, my male red ear is 6 years old over 7 inches and out grew his large one. I got this as a replacement, it’s nice and big could hold 3 of him and doesn’t sink

Quality has Slipped
I have been using these docks for over 15 years. I was really dissapointed with the quality of this last dock. Foam was exposed and it was not properly sealed. I ordered another one hoping it was just a fluke, but the second one that came was the same caliber.
