Muslim Girls Rise: Inspirational Champions of Our Time

This book has quickly become a favorite for our family. The author educates her audience with inspiring stories of successful women using lucid and unencumbered language. Combined with beautiful illustrations and color, I found the book to be an excellent medium to deliver knowledge while being engaging and entertaining. Our family now looks forward to reading a chapter together before bedtime every night!

In the UK, Muslims are the most abused, accounting for 45% of physical and verbal attacks. As most Muslims are predominantly South Asian in the UK, we’re also troubled by further problems due to the colour of our skin. There is an alarming lack of representation for Muslims on screen let alone south Asians, so even though this book is small in comparison to the representation we need, it was a shining beacon for my daughter who has been racially abused twice in the last week.

Bought this book for my nieces. I know there gonna love it. Very well made. Love the pictures. Very important stories.

This is the book our children (and adults need)! It highlights the stories of muslim woman pushing boundaries and defying the odds to live out their truth. As a 30 year old muslim woman, I learned about many woman I'd never heard of but who clearly deserved to be lifted and known. Its also suitable and relevant for non muslim readers...the message of empowerment, self discovery and truth is universal. I highly recommend!
