Good Basic Brushes
I like trying out all kinds of brushes, because I not only use them with paints, but also with watercolors, alcohol inks, and giuache, These will be used for whichever medium I want to try them out on!

Solid selection of watercolor brushes
To start with, these are some biiiig brushes. The handles are long and the larger sizes are much bigger than I expected. The Pro's: 1. Variety. I'm a complete beginner to watercolor and was looking for a set that had all the main brush types with some variety in sizes - round, flat, liner, cat's tongue and dagger. There are so many sets on Amazon but a surprisingly small amount with a cat's tongue or dagger included which this had so I was very pleased about that. 2. Price. I wanted quite a few brushes to test and play around with but didn't want to spend an arm and a leg as a newbie. You get 12 brushes here for somewhere between $20-$25 (the price fluctuates) which is a great deal. 3. Quality. The brushes seem sturdy with pointed tips on the round brushes and secure, anti-rust ferrules on all. I don't know how well they'll hold up as I've only started using them a few days ago but definitely no issues with paint cracking on the handles or loose/shedding hairs. To get the most of your brushes, remember to never leave them in water and to always clean off paint asap. 4. Brand. Arteza is a solid art brand and these brushes are part of their premium line. I thought they'd be a good place to start rather than the cheaper options from no-name Chinese brands. The Con's: 1. These are synthetic brushes which means that they hold less water, generally speaking, than natural brushes. And again, I'm a beginner so I have nothing really to compare them too in terms of water loading but I did expect the brushes to hold a bit more water than they do. Maybe this will increase with more use? Overall, I really like these brushes. They're a good mid-quality selection at a very affordable price. Time will tell how the handle and bristles hold up but for persons just starting out, this is a good place to start.

Detail Brushes....
I keep looking for the perfect detail brushes. I try many different kinds. Expensive ones. Inexpensive ones. I keep coming back to these. So far these have lasted me the longest. I try not to leave them in water for very long. I am an acrylic artist and paint on cotton canvas board that can be really hard on brushes. I have ordered four or five sets of these over the past 5 years. I paint mostly small canvases....5 x 7, 6 x 6, or 8 x 10....once in a while I get wild and paint a 9 x 12.

Great value
Great value. Surprisingly holds the perfect amount of water. The quality is very good. The handles are a bit heavier than some other brushes I have, but I liked it. Happy with my purchase.
