Intex Pull-Out Sofa, Grey, (Model: 68566EP)

I bought this having read multiple bad reviews. I was worried. Really worried. But I couldn't afford a real couch, and how can you pass up a $60.00 sofa? This would have to do. I purchased it for my local Boys and Girls Club. We have a TV and an xBox- but no place to sit! What's a girl to do? I needed to find a comfy place for my kiddos to relax. I splurged and bought the Intex air pump as well (it was $15.00, really it wasn't like a major investment, but I'm so happy I got it). I rolled out the sofa, plugged in the pump, and began inflating. There are three separate parts that need inflated. The first is the 'base' of the couch- which includes the floor layer, back, and arm rests. Then there is the back cushion that needs inflated. And the butt cushion- the place you will sit. Once all three components are inflated, the couch looks AWESOME. And it took less than 5 minutes to become a couch instead of an uninflated piece of plastic! There are two cup holders. One on each arm rest. These are snazzy and a great place for the kids to keep all sorts of things- from drinks to snacks to crayons while coloring! And kids being kids, will jump. This was inevitably an issue I feared. Would the jumping, bouncing, hopping, bumping, tackling, scratching, gripping, kicking be handled by this ball of air? Could it really stand up to the chaos of my 60 kids? The answer is *drum roll please... YES! We've only blown it up once, and granted- it's deflated a little. But it's still holding up like a champ 2 weeks into daily use. I mean for 12 hours a day- this thing is being bullied by children. And it's still standing- or should I say sitting? Nevertheless it's still able to be sat on comfortably! My main concern- and this really is a tiny complaint- is that the material is a lot like velvet. Comfy as it may be, it attracts dust like a Swiffer Sweeper, and within one day of use went from it's navy blue color to more of a tannish/brown hue from all of the dust. We're located on a dirt road so dust is inevitable. But it's still such a pain to look over at this wonderful couch and see it covered in dirt. Wouldn't be a huge problem for me. And my kids don't mind. But for someone in the country, with a chronic dusty house, it might be an issue. For most city dwellers, though, it should be the least of your worries. A lot of reviewers have mentioned bad holes or easy deflating, but neither of those things have been an issue with me. Perhaps I just got lucky and mine was heavily inspected by quality control. But I can honestly say I will purchase more of these when my budget allows. 5 Stars across the board!

IT'S VERY IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROPER INFLATION. A lot of people leaving poor reviews are complaining about "leaking" or the couch deforming, which tells me that they obviously didn't follow the instructions. Vinyl stretches, which means that the first time you inflate the couch it's going to stretch. If you sit on it right after you inflate it for the first time you WILL deform the couch because you're unnaturally distributing the air pressure while the material is still stretchy. Follow the instructions and wait 3-4 hours after you inflate it for the first time. After 4 hours, the couch should be softer than when you first inflated it, which means that the vinyl has stretched. Intex must have recently updated the product listing, because before it pictured the old "quilted" model. The one pictured with horizontal air pockets and cup holders is the one I received. The whole thing takes about 10 minutes to set up and inflate I live in a dorm room with 3 other guys. We have friends over on the weekend a lot so we wanted to get a couch/futon but we also didn't want to spend a lot of money. This couch was PERFECT. I only paid $35 and it's MUCH larger and more comfortable than the futon we looked at from Walmart (~$120). If you are a college student living in a dorm with twin-sized beds, the fact that the bed unfolds into a queen-sized bed makes for a much more comfortable night's sleep when you have a friend sleep over. I also live in a Hurricane prone area, so the ability to literally fit a queen sized bed into my car without really taking up any space is a huge plus. Deflated, you can fit the whole couch into a backpack. The material of the couch itself isn't soft, but if you stretch some sheets (I used a shag rug and a blanket) over it it becomes much more comfortable. Also, it isn't black, it's navy. Overall: CHEAP, COMFORTABLE, EASY TO SET UP AND MOVE.

Era para el 29 de septiembre y llegó el 3 de octubre, nada terrible, además me fue avisado el retraso atentamente. Lo inflé con una bomba para balones, tardé toda la tarde, pero sí se pudo. El primer día se extiende después de inflado y pareciera que se desinfla un poco, pero al volver a inflar y cerciorarse de que las válvulas están bien atornilladas, ha permanecido bien inflado después de varios días y ya no he tenido que inflar para nada el sofá. El olor no es de esos plásticos con olor escandaloso, bien tolerable. El material me parece resistente y tal parece que me du'rará tanto como otros sofá cama, que ninguno me dura mas de dos años en buen estado, a ver este.

Always air leakage very bad quality

using in kids playroom and it’s perfect for the purpose. We get lots of great comments. Would also be fantastic for camping or as a quick and inexpensive solution for anyone needing extra seats/guest bed. Had it a few months now and has stayed inflated - I only add a bit of air if it’s going to be used as a bed so that it’s nice and solid. As a bed it’s ok -as good as any inflatable bed - it is really low to the ground so adults need some agility! Five stars because it’s exactly what we needed, is unique and high quality. When/if this ever does need replacing I would absolutely buy it again.
