I love this butter dish ! I was getting tired of the plastic, melamine or ceramic butter dishes... I needed something more elegant and pleasant to use and this fit the bill perfectly ! Be it for everyday or on a fancy diner table setting this fits in nicely for any occasion ! Glad I bought this and definitely would recommend !

Heavy, substantial butter dish. Doesn’t slide all over the counter when your digging in the butter!

I purchased this product because I once went to Canada for a holiday and saw a big butter dish much like this one but bigger. I didn't realise how difficult it was to find a large butter dishes in Australia. I've been on the hunt for years to find a butter dish much like what I found in Canada. This product is the closest match I could find so far, based on what I could remember. It's a very close match. The quality of the product is excellent but the biggest let down is that it doesn't easily fit a 500g block of butter that you'd find at Coles/Woolworths/Aldi. I tried getting the butter to fit but it smears the walls of the lid and makes a mess and deforms the block of butter, so for me, that's a fail.

This is a lovely dish. The butter normally has to be cut to fit as the dish is longer than most butter pats.
