Awesome Sound System
Excellent System. Delivered in perfect condition in one day. Lots of work to unpack but simple to assemble. The quality of Klipsch speakers with the Denon Amp are worth the money. You will spend a few days working with balancing the sound with Audyssey but there is lots of info on the web. AI has gone a long way. Awesome sound on movies - does a great job upgrading stereo sound (lots of streaming) to its own Dolby or DTS - Atmos is outstanding on movies, and nice settings to adjust sound for music as well (Atmos sucks on music). You can change settings easily with the remote. Spend a lot of time reading. It took me 3 days to get the sound with the help of Audyssey perfect. If the Amp ever goes bad - no worries because the Klipsch speakers will last forever. I have a big room and 1 sub was all I needed but they do have a kit with two.

These Are Excelllent Speakers For The Money!
I purchased these excellent Klipsh Reference speakers to build a new home theater with. I also purchased the matching Klipsch R-120SW subwoofer that pairs very nicely with these speakers. These Klipsch speakers sound great when connected to a Denon AVR-S760H AV receiver, which I also own. If these Klipsch speakers were purchased individually (not on sale) they would cost nearly twice as much as this 5 piece set, so this is indeed a great deal at this price level. These Klipsh speakers came very well packed, and UPS delivered all 4 boxes on the same day (5 day shipping time). These speakers also arrived in perfect condition without a single blemish. Just be prepared to have to dispose of lots of cardboard and Styrofoam after unboxing these speakers. However, the very thick Styrofoam surrounds protect these speakers very well during shipping. These Klipsch speakers definitely do have their own very distinct "Klipsch" sound. The one inch aluminum tweeters, matched with the Tractrix horns, make the treble very bright (the treble can be EQed down if desired). This sound is excellent for things like glass breaking and swords clanking in movies, but it can be kind of harsh for some ears when listening to a lot of music (which I do), if very bright highs are not desired. However, I personally like the clear, bright sound, and I do not find it harsh or fatiguing at all, but that is just my individual taste. The midrange is also very pronounced, especially in the center channel speaker, which is great for dialogue in movies. There is not much lower bass frequencies to speak of in the bookshelf or center channel speakers, but the front tower speakers will produce surprisingly good bass down to about 45hz. However, to really shine, these speakers really need to be matched with a good subwwoofer, like the Klipsch R-120SW, as it matches this Klipsch speaker set in both sound and asthetics. Be forewarned though, the front towers are very tall and heavy, at around 40 inches, and 50 pounds each. The tower speakers are also around 16 inches deep, so make sure there is plenty of room for them. These speakers are very sensitive, and it does not take much amplifier power at all to drive them loudly. All of the speakers have a sensitivity between 90db and 96db at 8 ohms. This is a huge sensitivity boost from the 5 (86db at 6 ohm) Pioneer Andrew Jones speakers that these 5 Klipsch speakers replaced. The Pioneer speakers sound great also, in a much mellower way, but it takes a lot of power to drive them. These Klipsh speakers are all very solidly built, and they sound great. They also look really cool with the grills removed. The copper looking woofers and mounting screws look really good on the dark gray speaker fronts with the black woofer surrounds. The Tractrix tweeter horns are also very unique looking. These speakers also have very nice looking, deep wood-grained, black vinyl coverings. The speaker grills are easy to take on and off, as they are held firmly in their cabinet recesses with strong magnets. However, the matching Klipsch R-120SW subwoofer has (copper looking) metal grill retaining studs on the speaker front instead of magnets. This is probably so that the grill does not vibrate off during very loud and low bass notes. The separate Dolby Atmos speakers on top of the 2 towers give a whole new dimension to movie and music sound. They bounce the sound off of the ceiling and into your ears to create a 3D sound effect (like helicopters flying overhead). The Dolby Atmos speakers work with Dolby Atmos and DTS-X encoded video, but they also work with the "multi-channel stereo" setting in most amps to expand music sound. Either way the Dolby Atmos speakers work great and add a whole new dimension to movies and music. The Dolby Atmos speakers are their own separate connection on the back of the tower speakers, so 2 separate speaker cables have to be run to each tower speaker from the amplifier. This means that an amplifier will have to have 7 separate speaker channels in order for this Klipsch speaker set to run properly (not counting a subwoofer pre-out connection). However, the tower speakers will still work fine if the Dolby Atmos speakers are not connected, but what's the point of having them then? The screw-down wiring terminals for all of the speakers are easy to use. However, it is much easier and more secure to use banana plugs. The banana plug holes also come with little plastic covers pre-installed, if they are not used. As mentioned in other reviews, the 4 screws that hold the 2 plastic legs on the bottom of the tower speakers are worthless. I did not even attempt to use them, and I used my own course-threaded, self tapping, black wood screws instead. Problem solved. However, the ol' candle wax or bar soap on the screw threads might help the original screws go into the cabinet's MDF easier, without breaking off. Overall, this is a great Klipsch speaker set, especially at this price point. I highly recommend these speakers. I personally like the unique, crisp (trebely?) sound of Klipsch speakers, but others may not. Potential buyers may want to find a retailer to give some Klipsch speakers a good listen before purchasing these (or any other) Klipsh speakers. Also, while these Klipsch speakers do sound amazing on their own, they really need to be paired with a good subwoofer (or two) in order to fill in the low bass that is mostly lacking in these otherwise great speakers. Have fun!

Great surround system!
Great system for the price! I was a little skeptical about a 5.1 surround from Klipsch for this price. I already have a couple pairs of the speakers so I know they make a good product but the last set I bought cost more than this system for just a pair of towers. Most all of the reviews said they sounded really good. I liked that these were a little smaller because the room they are for is only about 10'x12'. They arrived quickly and were packed nice. Most of the reviews stated that the supplied screws to hold the feet on the towers were a low quality screw and several had snapped trying to install them. Having been aware of this before assembly, I had a few quality a wood screws and took one that was the same size and ran it into the holes on each speaker then used the supplied screws and they threaded in nicely. After setting every thing up to my receiver, that's rated at 75 watts per channel, I listened to them playing music from youtube on the television. They really sound amazing! Next I watched a movie that I'd seen several times. Listening with this system was incredible! I heard so much more than just listening through the TV speakers. Words and lines from the actors were clearer and made more sense. People talking in the background and other subtle sounds that I could here for the first time made me enjoy one of my favorite movies even more. The sub woofer adds a whole new dimension to the listening experience. Again don't let the smaller size worry you. It will absolutely shake the room!

Clear and loud
Preface: I have a 10'x12' room I've converted to a home theater with a 100" projector screen. I also have a large Hi-Fi with Magneplanar 1.7i speakers and an Emotiva stack. I use a PS4 for my base BD player and an Intel-based Windows workstation as a streaming device for both my video content and as a SteamBox for gaming. The room is treated with sound absorbing panels and drapery to help with bass-trapping and unwanted reflections. The rears are on common triangle-style podium stands I hand-built and are secured in place with 20lb sandbags. The Center is on a custom bench I made (with triangle-style pillar legs) over the center-aligned Subwoofer directly underneath the center-point of the projection screen. Unfortunately, 92" of the wall's 108" width is taken up with the projection screen, and the room having a somewhat short length, means that the speakers have to be butted up against the walls both front/back and the sides, so, they have very sub-optimal placement. Review: With all of that said, these things are LOUD, clear as CRYSTAL, and after treating the room with foam diffusers, setting up the room-correction on my receiver, and adjusting the PS4/Windows to accommodate the 5.1+Atmos (where possible), the stereo and positional effects are GREAT! Music has clear and broad soundstage, image separation is quite good for an HT setup (at least as good as my Denon receiver can produce), and music playback is not nearly as good as my full audiophile setup but is still impeccable for a 5.1 (even in multi-channel stereo using the rears/center along with just the towers.) I slighted the bang-for-buck score to 4/5 because, while these clearly out-perform my previous Fluance 5.1 bundle, that was 200$ with a 200$ separate sub, and the audio quality was about 80% of what this provides at more than 3x the cost. Audio equipment does not scale linearly, so as components get better, their price scales out of phase with the quality gains, and with THAT in mind, these are a very reasonable price when compared with audiophile gear and provide anywhere from 90-95% of the quality I've seen from boutique/designer brands at 2-5x the cost, so these ARE still quite a good bang-for-buck, but only when you're in a place where you're trying to eke out whatever boost you can over the base 80/20-ROI curve. IMO these are pretty top-tier in their price bracket and there may be some min-maxing to do in the sub-$2k window compared to these and whatever individual needs someone may have, but you will have to jump into the $5k+ window (and upgrade into substantially better amplifier, source, and room infrastructure) before you will hear any tangible acoustic benefits.

Really Good Sound System/Read Update
System was delivered appropriately, on time and well packaged. Packaging is a must, Atmos Tower speakers are really heavy, box displayed obvious bumping around, produce was in good shape upon examination. This Atmos Klipsch R625H system is an upgraded, form a 15 year old Magnolia system. A Denon 7.2 R760FA is used to push the system. I use the entire system with 2 Klipsch subwoofers. System come with sound calibration mic & stand, very effective on screen instructions for complete setup. I figured I was missing something sound wise with previous system, which was a decent system. This Klipsch system has provided clearer clarity. Sound system produce perfect sounds whether enjoying music, movies or sports. Based on my research, this is a very quality system that does not break the bank. No regrets! Update: I feel it's important to include an issue with the base/stand. that requires installing by screws into Atmos Speakers. During my reading of reviews, purchaser noted that while attempting to install stands on base of speaker, they found it difficult. Purchasers noted that the screws provided were not well made, and literally broke while attempting to screw them into base of speaker. This is a real issue. I experience this problem, and was very frustrated. I chose not to attach the base/stand on either speaker. There appears to be no adverse effect on sound due to not using stand/base. My previous tower speakers did not have a base, so I decided to go without on my new Klipsch. Speaker appears stable and functional without the base. It seems the base is for more cosmetic purpose. Anyway, I felt strongly about the base of the Atmos Speaker only assembly process, that my review warranted modification and addressing this problem. The screws used to fasten base to bottom of speakers are junk. This does not take away from the systems function. For a quality system, designers fell extremely short on 8 screws. I change my stars from 5, to 4. Very frustrating assembling process.

Home Theater Winner
I purchased this Klipsch home theater system along with a 10 inch subwoofer. My theater room is 25’x 12’ in size, the speakers provide max volume at about 1/3 of the volume potential. All the speakers arrived on time, undamaged and exactly as advertised. The system is easy to set up, has fantastic sound range, high-quality build and a great value for a quality system. I highly recommend it for its speaker performance and value.

You won't be disappointed!
I recently purchased an entirely new sound system, which included the Klipsch Reference Series 5.1. I am pairing the set with a Marantz amp. I bought an additional subwoofer to enhance performance. I have had multiple systems throughout the years. This one is the best ever!. The sound is crisp and clear; the bass delivers the lows often missed or distorted by lesser systems. Without reservation, buy this set. It does not matter what your music genre, the quality will surpass your expectations.

Very nice looking set with very crisp clear sound. I added the height speakers to the kit along with a 9.4 channel receiver and it's like being in a theater. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to build their own home theater.
