My 9 year old son loved putting this together! He didn’t ask for help once and completed in roughly 7 hours - on and off throughout day. He’s downloaded the app is ready to start coding, etc. Great purchase

This took several hours to put together, but it kept my 7 year old engaged for huge chunks of time and she loved following the directions on the app and being able to get a 360 degree view of each step by step. Once we got it together we switched over to the controls which was a little bumpy to get used to and it came apart after a big crash-landing, but because we had spent all that time assembling it, it was super easy to put the pieces back together, which gave my daughter excellent problem-solving skills as well as determination and confidence in running into problems. The kid loved learning to use the controls and make it move around on our tile floor with the wings flapping and the mouth opening up. The thing is rechargeable with a lithium battery, which is super convenient. And we haven't gotten to it, yet, but I love that there is a codable component and am excited to get learning how to code with my daughter. The multiple levels of building, then controlling, then coding is awesome and this was well worth the money. Something that will keep my kid engaged and interested on for extended periods of time and can keep being played with with lots of levels of learning.

I got this for my 9 yr old who loved the CrunchLabs kits. He’s been building with minimal help for last 3 hours. I did not have a positive app experience- it didn’t allow me accept privacy policy and just told me to ensure I had notifications set-up. I like the fact the parts were numbered. I liked the way the app presented the build instructions. The pieces are of good quality. I think the fact my son is building largely on his own speaks to the quality of the design. I got another build kit as a gift for same kid at same time and we decided it wasn’t for a lazy Christmas morning. I will update if the final build doesn’t support my current opinion.

This dragon is pretty cool it did take a long time to put him together. My 11 year old daughter had to take sections apart and redo because some of the directions were a bit confusing. It went much better with an adult near by to help.

I'm not sure how I feel about the design they decided to go with. Looks like it was built for a job and not fully to just be an actual dragon due to how legs are built. This is for ages 8 and up. I'm in my 20s and I got so frustrated to the point where I don't care if it's not lining up. The instructions go a bit too fast for me to understand what is actually fully going where. At one point I went through the same thing five times. I checked every point it claimed parts were supposed to line up. Everything except for one thing lined up and I could find no reason why it would actually line up. My mind was blown away. I thought this would be good, but just harvest it for parts and to program your own thing. I really don't like the shell of it and didn't even before I started building. It's a concept gone decently wrong. I expected maybe a day project. It's not a day project. Idk what it's gonna look like once I'm done, because nothing is going right with it and I'm not redoing it. On top of that. The instructions occasionally ask you to put in parts that aren't relevant to many steps later and they fall off with gravity. It made me lose a part that idk if I'll need to what degree. Even further to reiterate why I don't like this shell is because even some of the pictures are confusing along with the labeled parts. Some aren't quite labeled in a way that correlates with everything else and it's overall still decently confusing to understand. I'm sure it'll be fantastic when properly put together, but this is nonsense lol
