I bought them for lighting candles and an occasional stove burner. I like the environmental sustainability factor that they are rechargeable and that I don’t have to worry about an open flame. I purchased a pair about 11 months ago and I try to throw out a good review when I come across a product that deserves it. I started using them both immediately for lighting candles and incense which I use regularly. The lighters are extremely easy to use which just requires sliding the power up and pressing the button. It’s so much easier than flicking a BIC! They stay charged pretty well as long as they’re turned off after use. After nearly a year, there’s not much wear and tear although I did just clean the electrodes, or whatever they are, and now the arc works perfectly again. And that’s the thought that made me realize that a 5-star review is in order, and possibly another purchase.
