Excellent product. good coverage, smooth as silk.
I didn't have good luck with the Epoxy primer of this brand, but I reckon I probably got a bad can, so I was afraid with the clear as it could ruin all the previous work if it failed, but fortunately I have to say this product is really good, it lay down really fine and smoothly, absolutely no orange peel and the result is as good as if was done at a pro paint booth, the can was enough for a very light first coat and 2 full coats, sprayed the whole can uniformly without losing pressure or flow when started to empty, it flashed in around 10min with a crystal clear finish. great product for small jobs.

Excellent product
As I've written in other reviews. I'm a professional furniture repairman and refinisher. When I read the product description of this aerosol I was intrigued. I spray a lot of post catalyzed Conversion varnish on furniture, which is a similar concept to this product. When I mix the catalyst in conversion varnish, I have 3 hours to use what I mixed. With this product I have 48 hours to use it. I purchased this product to spray the trim on the steering wheel on my 2020 Toyota 4Runner. I sprayed it black a few months ago with SEM 49143 Trim Black Ultra, Black Spray Paint Satin Finish. The results were pretty good, but with using alcohol based hand sanitizer and other things that came in contact with the finish I applied, it eventually wore pretty quickly and started to look unsightly. So, I sanded down the finish, cleaned it with naptha and reapplied 3 coats of the SEM satin black. Once it dried for about 2 hours, I started to apply this product. I applied 4 coats during 68 degree weather in early October in NY. I let each coat dry about an hour. The last coat I applied about 4 PM. I left it overnight and was able to install it at 7:30 AM this next morning. I could see that it wasn't cured yet but it was hard enough to gently install it. Once I got home from work, the finish was really hard. There was some of the oversprayed product on the paper that I used to cover my work area. I was able to scratch the over sprayed paper with my fingernail and it did not damage the finish. I know it is still not cured but this is an amazing product. If used properly and prepped well you will not be sorry. I'll be purchasing this for other projects. I highly recommend it.

Highly Recommended Aerosol Clearcoat!
Used this to repair motorcycle fairings. I've worked at auto body shop since I was 15yrs old and still know people in the biz. I have to say, this is a great solution (not substitute!) for DIY folks who want a reliable clearcoat but do not want the hassle or price paid for getting an auto body shop to clear for you. I did my prior research on this and other suitable aerosol clear coats and none matched the quality of this product. If you don't know the main contributing factor for this clear versus the other off-the-shelf clearcoats that you can get at an auto store or hardware store, this is a 2 part (2k) clearcoat, which means 1 part clearcoat solvent and 1 part hardener. The hardener is within the aerosol can and requires activation prior to use. Additionally, as the can recommends, this is for professional use. While not a professional by any means, I do have experience painting so that does help as far as prepping and application goes. Don't expect flawless results by just popping open the can and clearing on anything you see - SORRY but it doesn't work that way! Patience is key, not just with this product but with painting in general if you want a good finish. Let me go with this as the first part as I know most people will overlook this aspect (myself included). SAFETY! This isn't your run of the mill rattle can from autozone or home depot and even if it was, you shouldn't be using aerosol spraycans, especially Spraymax 2k in your garage/basement/bedroom unless it is set up properly for ventilation. Wear a respirator! To activate the hardener, shake vigorously for about 2min, remove the attached red button press, turn the can upside down and place the red button on the activator switch (totally made up the name for that part). Using the ball of your hand, press firmly down until it won't go anymore. Make sure you place it either on the ground or something sturdy when doing this. You won't really get any notification that you did it right other than a slight click, but if you did, the red button will stay in place. Then shake for another 2min to ensure proper mixture of the two solvents. As far as application and finish, Spraymax 2k is on point. The spray pattern is super wide, mimicking that of a real spray gun. When spraying, you will also notice that it sprays on SUPER fine which helps it blend well with what you already have laid down. You want overlap 50% of your previous line. The high gloss finish is amazing! You really will be surprised at how nice this sprays as well as the finish. To further the finish even more, Spraymax 2k has great buffability so taking wetsanding with 1500 or greater sandpaper and buffing afterwards will yield you mirror finish! As with all auto painting, your finish will be reliant NOT on just how you spray! People fail to remember that surface preparation as well as outside temperature play a huge role in the outcome of your finish. Again, take the time to prep and paint and you will truly be amazed at this product. You will see beyond the $30 a bottle and notice that in the end it was worth every penny.

Awesome product
I have to say that this leaves the smoothest coat I ever used out of the can. I have seen a few complaints but I believe it was operator error. I saw a video of a guy using it and he said the can should be warm before use. So I put it in my shed for a couple of days then used it and I have to say this is some really good clear coat. I used an entire can on 2 chevy headlight bezels and I dont think I will even have to wet sand and polish it looks so good. Its 92 deg and humidity is lower than usual and it was ready for recoat in less than 5 minutes. Very impressed and will buy again.

It works so well
I purchased a brand new bumper. Sanded, primed, painted, and clear coated with this and it looks amazing. Can't tell it was done at home. Wear a mask. It is strong. Do light coats. I've had it on the car for almost 2 months and still good even though I haven't wet sanded and polished it yet which I recommend to get rid of the minimal orange peel.

Read my review if you want the best results, not all the robot reviews.
Wasted my entire first can because I thought you had to kind of smack the button, and the directions on the can are blah. An old boy was a mess insane. DO NOT SMACK WITH A HAMMER OR ANYTHING ELSE TO ACTIVATE. It will puncture incorrectly and you will leak out the bottom, make a huge mess, ruin everything it drips on. First and foremost, the most important part is the quality of how you shake the can. If you have to set a stopwatch, so be it. You better shake the can for at least three minutes, and shake it well. I purchased one of those shaker attachments you put on your reciprocating saw. Best idea ever I really had no idea how long three minutes was until I got that. I ruined my first two cans because I was impatient. The second can I shook a bit better, but I did not commit to activating the can. So I feel like I pushed it in kind of funky, and there was drips and splatters coming out the bottom. Not where it really made a mess, but where you know you lost some product. So I’m sure my first coat was not great. Now, once you have shaken the can for two minutes you remove the button at the top in the lid, and gently place it over the nozzle in the bottom. I kind of did a little twisting motion to make sure it was snug against it cause this is going to act as the button. Now I put the can on the ground, the activator button face down. Make sure it’s a hard surface. And then I put my knee against the top of the can. Here’s the important part, commit to pushing the button in one solid motion. I just kind of dropped my weight and my knee into the can. It made a solid pop and not a single drop fell out. I didn’t tilt the can over. I left it in that 12 o’clock position and put it back on my shaker. And I shook it for three more minutes. This provided me a can, that did not have a single splatter, I’m confident the harder was activated correctly, and it came out beautifully. And please, please please do not forget to take clear coat, seriously, and fully cover up and get a solid respirator. If you’re gonna use a half face make sure this is done outside and you use goggles. No matter what you better get yourself a full body cover. This is a non-negotiable, don’t be a child, these are very dangerous chemicals.

Very tolerant when applying. Excellent finish, especially for a rattle can.
Went on very well. Several light coats with no hint of running or sag. Built up to a very deep finish with a very good shine. Applied under duress in 50 degree wet weather. Used a heat gun to help speed setting and curing. I had everything against me being able to get a high quality finish but this stuff delivered. I'll buy this again for sure - very happy with it. Easy, better than as promised, exhibits good durability, and matches factory clear coat depth and shine on my gmc like no man's money. With the durability it seems to have, it seemed tough for the rubbing compound to deal with when I feathered it out but I was happy to see the extra work needed - stuff's got moxie for sure. Glad I bought it.
