QSHAVE Parthenon Razor V2.0, 9 Degrees Adjustable Double Edge Safety Razor (Black)

Right out of the box with a Feather blade. Setting to 3. It's an effortless shave. You do want to be careful, this isn't your average Gillette body plane. When you set it on your face, you will know that it requires respect. But, wow! I actually had to check to see if it cut the beard. Smooth as silk.

I really wish I could say something good about this razor. Unfortunately I cannot. The brass started showing through the black on the handle after the first shave. The adjustment ring does not click at each setting like many adjustable double-edge razors. So my suspicion is that over time the ring will loosen and the setting will change while shaving. The only way to get the ring to the “1” setting is to open the head, turn the ring to “1” and then close the head. I haven’t received a good shave from this razor. For the first shave I set it to ”5” and used a blade that came with the razor. I was bleeding like a stuck pig. So for the second shave I set it to “3” and used a Gillette blade. Still nicked me to death. Next shave I set it at “2” and used the blade I had used for the first shave. Still heavily nicked. Just to make sure, I used that same blade in a different razor I own and it was fine. I’m talking the difference between a couple of nicks with my old razor, and a dozen with the Qshave. This is a very aggressive razor, so if you are prone to getting nicked while shaving, do not purchase this razor. For the price I am very disappointed. I have a cheap ($9.00) adjustable razor made in Russia I purchased off of EBay that does better than this. I read good reviews on this product ar several shaving blogs, so I expected more. Bottom line: poor quality; poor performance.

The razor is average… The black metal steel starts to rust just after 3/4 shaves. Definitely not worth $38

Very substantial feel and craftsmanship. I almost wish I didn't have a beard so I could shave more. Best razor I've used in 60 years.
