I love it!!
It’s so pretty!! I love the size of it, the size of the journaling lines, the cover is beautiful…the pages are thin but what Bible doesn’t have thin pages? I haven’t found one. Planning on taking notes in a light gray pen or pencil to prevent bleeding like I do with any other journaling Bible I have. I feel like the artist created a cover that portrayed reverence and I literally can’t wait to put notes in this bad boy!!

By far the best Bible I have owned
I was super excited to get this Bible. I had been looking for something similar for months and came across this masterpiece and was amazed. The work of art on this cover is impeccable. Love the large space for my notes since I write so many notes

I bought two of these and gave them as a gift to two good friends. Would definitely buy again.

My New Bible, my 1st Hardbound, arrived Sunday. It felt right. Just as when I saw this Peter Voth cover, I knew it was to be.The love of Gothic Architecture comes to life on the matching front & back covers. You must know the print size is teeny, tiny. A 7.5 font. This Bible with full page columns for notes, is as thick as my non-column Bible. So you have to figure the print is almost half, what is used in most type face.If you have good eyes, reading glasses or the other, keep going. If not, as much as I love this book & it's features, I recommend you look elsewhere.I do not have good eyes & have been Googling the daily read, then going bk to make notes. You may ask, "Then why the 5 stars if you can't read it?"Bc this is The First Bible I actually want to pick up & be a part of.I don't know, maybe it's crazy but, the design is so similar to church, which I physically miss.Something as simple as a familiar association makes me feel closer to my Faith.*The Details*~ Comes wrapped in a parchment like sleeve good for gifting~ Sturdy hardbound with Antique Gold paper lining~ Includes a card from The Artist explaining inspiration~ Long red, ribbon page marker~ Thin pages. You can see print/journal writing through the reverse side~ Really small 7.5 font~ Daily reads on the very, last pages for Old & New Testament plus, Psalms~ Footnotes explaining translation/textual references~ Dual Contents Pages, Chronological & AlphabeticalNow, my little secret.I've always wanted to, yet never read, the whole Bible. What I truly love about this book is The Daily Reads. They chronologically take you, a day at a time, through the year.So while I'm not starting at Genesis, discovered on Day 3, I love Psalms 71.Also discovering, reading Old & New as a parallel, we as a people are truly creatures of habit.Talk about History Repeating. It's just Fascinating. So yes, I will probably have to buy one of those page magnifiers to read the font. But this is The First Time, The Bible is as exciting to me as my beloved mystery stories.Thank you Crossway & Peter Voth. I'm just so happy. Maybe you make a Larger Print?

Attractive and Small ESV Bible; Very Small Typeface
The English Standard Version (ESV) has been my Bible translation of choice for years. It is a reputable translation that reads smoothly and uses up-to-date language without watering down the Scriptures. This is my first journaling Bible, and while I am happy with it I can see one area for improvement, the size of the typeface. There’s a lot to like about this Bible. It is not overly huge so packing it for travel is not burdensome. It has an attractive cover that is resistant to scuff and dent damage (though I still prefer a leather-bound volume). One of the nicer features is the quality of the paper used - it is not the typical, fragile paper that is used for printing most Bibles but is slightly thicker and resistant to tears. The Scripture is printed with a 2” margin between it and the edge of each page. This area is ruled and set up for writing. This isn’t a lot of room, but it is sufficient for writing down a few short thoughts for the passages on the page.Because the emphasis with this Bible is journaling and personal reflection there is an absolute minimum of notes and commentary. What’s there is in the form of footnotes, and these footnotes are present in every ESV Bible I have seen. This is not a shortcoming but should be kept in mind, regardless. If you’re looking for a study Bible of sorts, this isn’t it.The one complaint I have is that the typeface used is very small. This is fine for people with excellent vision or people who do not struggle with eye strain. For those of us who need progressively stronger eye wear for reading, this is a problem. The dilemma here is that increasing the font size would also increase the size, weight and cost of the whole volume which poses different issues. This is a nice journaling Bible, set up for transport. It is small, lightweight, well made and attractive. My one word of caution is that the font is small and for those with less-than-good eyesight this could prove a challenge.
