These are the good ones. They are made with care in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA. Final finish grinding was with a fine enough tool to give a fine finish. The split points are carefully machined, and start drilling without wandering. By comparison, chisel point drills are easier to resharpen, but don't cut as well. They are not cobalt steel, but another alloy which is tougher and less likely to break. The metal box is very nice. Decimal equivalent size of each drill is embossed on the metal right next to the drill. Holders for each row of drills have independent pivots, so the next row can be easily seen. Nicely made, a joy to own. Sept. 2021: Four years later, these are still my favorite drill bits. February 2025: Four more years later, I still love them. Decimal equivalents are handy when you're looking for one just a little larger or smaller, maybe in the letter or number sizes.

I never write reviews, but these are the best drill bits I've ever used. I only wish I had bought these sooner, before going through so many cheaper ones.

do youself a favor if you need precision drills that cut well and will last for years this is it.... I can't bring my self to use the chinese bits i have sturggle with for years.... They are expensive and worth every penny if you work in metal fab hobby shop or machine shop.....Cuts through steel like butter!

I've been a road technician for about 30 years so I've gone through my share of drill bits. I've tried everything from Harbor Freight (junk) to Snap On to Matco, Sears, MAC and just about everything in between. About five years ago I was turned on to these bits by Norseman and I've never looked back. These are quite simply the best drill bit on the market. If you drill slow and low (slow speed, low to medium pressure on the drill) and use cutting fluid these bits will drill metal for years without needing to be sharpened. These are well worth the money.

I just love these bits. They're SHARP and hold up very well. As others have said, the box they're in really sucks. For the price that one pays for this set, you'd think that they could supply a decent box. It's CHEAP! It's not even possible to read the drill sizes when the bit holders are in the up position, which they must be to remove a bit. There's no excuse for this from a quality company. You can do better.

This drill set is looks expensive until you realize that the quality difference more than makes up for the additional cost.

These drills are worth every penny! Quality finish, great material, quality case. Keep these drills cool during use and they will last quite a while!

These bits really cut. Just had to drill through some pipe clamps and the pipes to install a bolt and these made quick work off it.
