Better than original
This eyecup is a fantastic upgrade for the Sony A6700. The soft silicone feels very comfortable against the eye and the extended design does an excellent job of blocking out stray light, which makes a big difference when shooting outdoors. It also adds just enough distance from the screen, preventing accidental smudges and making it much easier to use even when wearing glasses. The fit is secure, installation is quick, and overall it feels like a higher-quality replacement compared to the stock eyecup. Highly recommended for anyone who wants better comfort and a clearer view through the viewfinder.

Good replacment for original Eyecup
Feels comfortable against the eye and is noticeably larger than the original eyecup. The fit is tight and secure with no light leaks. Overall, it’s a solid replacement if you’ve lost the original eyecup, though I wouldn’t say it’s a significant upgrade over the stock one. (Fits perfectly on my Sony A7 III)

Great accessory for the A6500
Nice and soft eyecup, easily fitted to my A6500. Makes the camera viewfinder that little bit nicer to use.

Comfortable and functional meets easily lost...
The item is decent for what it is. There are two problems with the eyecup the first being on the sony a6 series there is a small corner that lets light through. Its not that problematic as the eycup does function well and is comfortable. The larger significant problem that you WILL come across and is majorly annoying, the eycup falls off EXTREMELY EASILY. I used it on a 6.6 mile hike the 2nd day i had it. Put it on the camera when i arrived at trail and started to walk after a few yards the eyecup fell off. I figured i didnt put it on right but no its a design flaw as it doesnt click in place and there nothing holding it on just slides on from top and is held in place by pressure. I had to take put it on and remove it when i wanted to photograph anything to use it and at some point i forgot to remove it and guess what. I lost it. Fell right off and couldnt find it in the backtrack. I did however buy another one. It isnt a terrible piece as it does feel comfortable and was nice while i had it lol i think ill just use it for still photography on tripod and portraits but wont be using it on camera when mobile.

Comfortable Upgrade That Blocks More Light
The soft silicone on this eyecup is very comfortable, even during long shooting sessions, and feels noticeably better than the original hard eyepiece. It does a better job of blocking stray light, which is especially important when composing precise landscape images where contrast and fine detail matter. I also find that it accommodates eyeglasses more easily, giving a better seal without pushing my frames around as much. So far I haven't had any problems with it falling off in the camera bag.

Uncomfortable and limited functionality
Works as intended and looks great but the eyecup is designed awkwardly. Most eyecups use a really soft silicone that sort of cradles your eye socket. This eye cup is made of a harder material that is angled directly towards your eye socket and jabs into your skin (or glasses). It is the most uncomfortable eyecup I've ever used. The only really benefit you get from it is that it provides more distance from the viewfinder so your nose isn't touching the camera. The other downside (but was expected) is that you lose your hot-shoe so you have to sacrifice your thumb grip if you use one. I've found that overall I get more benefit from having a thumb-grip than I do from this eyecup. Overall I can't say that I recommend this unless you really need an eyecup but there are other options that don't take up your hot shoe.

Good Fit and confirmable
Using this on my Sony A7r III. Provides good coverage when using it outside. It does stick out a bit more than the stock eye cap but since it's flexible and soft it doesn't get in the way when packing the camera. No complaints. If you are looking for a bigger eyecups then I would recommend this.

Quality seems as good as the original Sony one but does a better job of blocking the sun.
With the original Sony viewfinder I was getting light coming in whenever the sun was off to my side, making it difficult to see clearly. I purchased this item to solve this problem and it works perfectly. It seals around you eye very well and sticks out a bit further from the camera than the original eyepiece. Others have mentioned having more difficulty seeing the viewfinder display due to the eyepiece being longer but I have not noticed any difference myself. As for build quality, the rubber cup and plastic clip seem to be just as good as the original Sony one. I also found that when I had my glasses on I could still look through the viewfinder by bringing the eyepiece over the top of my glasses. My glasses have a slim frame so this may not work for everyone. This works for what I need it to do and I recommend it.
