If you're looking for a quality, low cost, and slightly smaller than normal replica of Star Trek's communicator, then definitely consider this one. It's a bit smaller than the on-screen original props used on Star Trek, but if that doesn't bother you, then this will be a perfect addition to any Trekkie's collection. The communicator looks and feels almost exactly like it does in the original series, and comes complete with lights and sounds. The button on the left, makes the iconic chirping sound while the button on the right plays a few seconds of sci-fi sounds. Both makes the lights on the communicator flash while the sounds are playing. The yellow mesh-like "guard" on the communicator doesn't flip up and down quite as easily as it does on the show though. You need to use your fingers on the round edges where the guard meets the communicator to flip it open. Then you can close it shut normally, but this is, so far, the only drawback I've seen with this prop. Also included is a little booklet exploring the history of the communicator prop which is worth the read. So if you're looking for a quality (albeit smaller sized) replica of Star Trek's iconic communicator, then definitely give this prop your consideration.

Fairly good sound effects for button one. Button two plays for too long with no way to interrupt it. It's light and plastic. The cover is very clunky to get open. It pretty much takes two hands to fiddle with it which diminishes the fun. All in all it's the best I could find on short notice and the price is good for what it is.

Better than expected given the price. The little fact book was actually pretty interesting. The communicator is sturdy feeling, a bit stiff in the hinges, but not floppy by any means. It feels solid and built well enough to not worry about

I'm and artist and a collector and a Star Trek fan, and this fits the bill for all three. The box is cool and collectable, with a small booklet of Star Trek scenes, and the toy itself (let's not kid ourselves, it's a toy) is pretty nice; not full-sized but it still fills your hand pretty well, and it also makes the classic Trek-communicator noise and the ambient background computer noise, but beware, that one goes on for a while. One last thing: it's loud 😅

Purchased two. One to disassemble and upgrade. The other to save for collection. Works as advertised. You get what you pay for. Accurate copy of communicator, but not in size of actual prop communicator.

Realmente me sorprendió gratamente este articulo muy fiel y detallado en comparación al original que imita. Es una miniatura pero la verdad es que casi no lo parece y luce identico en tamaño y detalles al comunicador que veiamos en la serie original de Star Trek. Los sonidos que emite son también muy buenos. El precio además es excelente, difícilmente se pueda encontrar un articulo de coleccionismo de la serie tan barato y con tal nivel de calidad. Totalmente recomendado.
