Featuring reflective stitching and a reinforced handle, it ensures safety and control in all environments. Its no-pull design enhances comfort and mobility, while two removable patches allow for easy role identification, making it the go-to vest for professional service dogs and their handlers. ## Description How do I choose the right size? My dog is between sizes—what should I do? Measure chest girth at the widest point behind the front legs and match it to our size chart. If between sizes, choose the next size up. Breed and weight are only guides—chest measurement determines correct fit. How do I put it on, and why is the reflective chest strap "backwards" “inside-to-outside”? Thread the front chest strap through the metal loop from inside to outside, then secure the hook-and-loop. This design prevents the hook material from rubbing or catching fur when the strap folds Does this vest include patches? What if something is missing? Yes. Your vest includes removable Service Dog patches. If anything is missing, message us through desertcart and we will resolve it quickly. Patches attach securely using hook-and-loop. Will it be comfortable for grown puppies, and how should it fit? Adjust to a snug fit—you should fit 1–2 fingers under the straps. Keep straps clear of the armpits and do not overtighten. If your dog measures between sizes or is still growing, choose the next size up. Is the handle/D-ring for lifting my dog or for pulling? Use the D-ring for leash attachment and the top handle for close control only—not for lifting full body weight. Before use, ensure buckles and straps are threaded correctly and fully secured. Plenty of room to grow and will fit us until full grown. Sturdy but not rigid- still soft, flexible, and seems to move with her. The sizing of this is highly forgiving and very customizable. Velcro on the front is durable and has an impressive range. They include a wide attached elastic band to cover the end of the Velcro, which is highly effective in preventing wear and lifting. I like the narrower body and that it doesn’t have the plastic card windows some others have. The belt under the harness is very well designed and could fit a small or large chested dog. The buckle feels strong and has a locking mechanism. I don’t really need the handle to hold her back, but it helps with communicating my expectations of her and I’m glad it’s there. The vest, with the help of leash wraps, has significantly helped deter approaches, without feeling over the top. This has aided in our training tremendously.I will still buy a custom made cape (or two) when she’s full grown, but it will stay within our rotation and has influenced features I’m looking for.Honest opinion, I think this is underpriced. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This product is tough and very well made. *by on Reviewed in the United States August 15, 2026* This harness is the best. It fits perfect and it stands out so that others realize Murphy’s on duty. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Dog Vest *by on Reviewed in the United States December 8, 2025* Great Dog Vest! It's easy to attach & remove. It seems to fit comfortably on my 80lb pit without issue or rubbing. The vest does tend to tilt a little, but not enough to cause any problem. I still use a collar for the leash to attach to for optimal control & ease. The black stand out on his white fur & looks really sharp.Once sized the Velcro stays in place & you can get the vest off by using the clip so no need to keep undoing & redoing the Velcro. It does seem extremely strong & that it would hold up over time though.Overall great vest & would order it again in a heartbeat. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.is/products/28318612-service-dog-vest-harness-reflective-black-xl](https://www.desertcart.is/products/28318612-service-dog-vest-harness-reflective-black-xl) --- *Product available on Desertcart Iceland* *Store origin: IS* *Last updated: 2026-10-24*
