I would say they run a tad big so if you are at the lower side of one of the sizing scales go a size down. One unexpected thing is they are really long. I'm 6'2 and the waist band comes all the way up to my arm pits. They are very soft and I will be buying more just going one size down. They are good for long trips where prescriptive hose tends to move to the ankles and becomes uncomfortable. I don’t bruise myself putting those on.
