Each Kool Collar includes a Kool Tube which you simply fill with water, freeze the tube, then insert it into the collar to keep your dog cool. The collar can also be filled with ice and as the ice melts it will run down the front of the dog and not only offer a comfortable cool sensation, but also, and more importantly, it promotes evaporative cooling over the vascular chest area of the dog. I have a large German Shepherd and he liked it. I was really happy with the product. My dog is older and does not play rough so I thought it would last for a while. Unfortunately, the Kool collar already came apart. My dog has worn it maybe 8-10 times and all the seams unraveled. So it was a great idea and I do like the concept of the product but I wish it had lasted longer.

Great idea, not so great quality
When I got the Kool collar, I really wanted to give it a 5 stars but I wait to try everything out first. It works well and keeps my dog cool. I have a large German Shepherd and he liked it. I was really happy with the product. My dog is older and does not play rough so I thought it would last for a while. Unfortunately, the Kool collar already came apart. My dog has worn it maybe 8-10 times and all the seams unraveled. So it was a great idea and I do like the concept of the product but I wish it had lasted longer.

Not worth the money
Not worth the money. After freezing it in the freezer, it was nothing but warm water by the time we drove 20 minutes to get to the park. Nonetheless, it sat in the car while we walked.

Bag of ice works better.
It stays cold for such a short period of time that it is almost useless. You can do as well with a bag and some ice.

Kool Collar
I like the collar, wished it lasted longer then 2hours. It fits well and holds up nicely while my dog is on trails in the woods.

wouldnt be without
i've been getting these collars for my dog and he just loves them ...i really dont use the tubes that comes with it .i just use ice and fill it and the water just drips onto his chest its awesome will have to get a new one almost every summer but its so worth it! i fill it up about 4 to 5 times a day if he is happy i am all for it!this really helps keep him cooler during the hot summer heat

Disappointed!
I am very disappointed in this product. It is not cold enough to penetrate through the dog's coat. Also, I have a regular size lab and the large collar is too big and cannot be made any smaller. It really should have had more of an adjustment; what good is it if it is hanging and not even touching the dog's neck. I was so looking forward to this cool collar and it is not worth much.
