I've tried a lot of crystallized ginger, and It's Delish is one of the best. I really appreciate that it's made with just ginger and sugar—no unnecessary ingredients or preservatives. The slices are soft, fresh, and full of real ginger flavor. They're perfectly sweet with a nice little spicy bite at the end that lets you know you're eating real ginger. They're great as a snack or after a meal. I'll definitely be ordering these again!

It's Delish is, let's face it, expensive. That said, their crystallized and sugared ginger product is the bomb, to die for, the bee's knees, hot, spicy, flavorful and thoroughly, massively, addictive. Far from being just for snacking, this ginger can also be used in dishes as is, if you want a little sweet, or after soaking in water of you want to stick to savory only. As provided the product is soft and fresh, and we kept it that way by sealing in proper container (one gripe, truly minor, is the idiocy of the permeable plastic bag. Really?). Love it. Buy it. I've been a fan of crystalized ginger for a couple of decades. This brand is by far at the top of the list for the best flavor and the best texture.

This ginger root is excellent, this will be the only one I will ever buy from now on. It has a great spice level and every piece so far is like a good jelly candy. It also has no sulfides, which is hard to find. I'm going to check out their other things, I hope they are just as good.

Color is very dark, tastes funny (almost soapy), and disagrees with my stomach.

Good quality product. Ordered several times, already. Unfortunately, with this order, the 5lb bag was packed into flimsy Amazon bag. The bag holding the ginger split wide open during shipment and all the contents were strewn about the interior of the Amazon bag. Not returnable. Not edible. Refund pending. Amazon: Better handling/packing is needed to protect inner product.

There is so much ginger in 5lbs! It will be a while before I need more! The flavor is spicy and ginger-y and wonderful. The ginger I received is cut with the grain rather than across the grain, which does affect the texture some. It is also slightly drier than the bulk ginger with preservatives that I have bought from the store before. It is also slightly darker. I tasted the darker and lighter pieces and the flavor is not affected by the color. The texture is also not at all like the Reed's brand ginger chunks which is very jelly-like. The only thing that would make them better is if they were cut across the grain rather than with. I am very satisfied with my purchase. Edit: I've been snacking on these for about a month and a half, and I am still happy with them. Since many of these are cut with the grain, the fibers are longer-ish, and sometimes stick in my teeth. Otherwise these are great, and the flavor is very potent. When I eventually run out, I'll probably buy these again.
