Fit perfectly, and the drain slot prevents ice buildup and keeps leaves and critters out of the exhaust pipe. And in the Midwest that is especially important during the cold winter months for foundation level furnace exhaust pipes. Be careful to measure the inside diameter of your pipe fitting, in my case a Schedule 40 forty-five degree elbow, and match the inside diameter dimension to the correct Termination cap outside diameter dimension if you are mating to PVC standard fittings. There is a chart under the item picture that shows the item outer diameter which must match the inside diameter of the Schedule 40 fitting (if that is what you have on your exhaust pipe.)

Last year a bird made her nest in my heating pipe. During the summer, I cover the pipe with this item. It looks good, is easy to install and is very functional. No more nests!

With our furnace that is vented on the side of the house, the pipes were open possibly inviting critters etc into the system. I measured and bought these. Installing them was simple. And there is a mesh barrier keeping things out. Makes me feel better.

Worked fine. Used to replace a cowl end that was very restrictive on the roof. Used a rubber coupler found at bunnings hardware in Australia to attach.

Received the critter guard, looks like a nice solid product. Well made with good stainless steel screen. Unfortunately the 4” is the outside diameter. It does not fit over the 4” pipe, so I had to return it.

Item met my expectations and was delivered on time.

4 inch does not fit a pvc coupling as shown in diagram, and of course not the pvc, which was shown as not fitting in another diagram. Fits with a rubber adaptor as shown, but that is not optimal. The coupling fit diagram is misleading, meaning false. Overpriced item wants additional adaptors, is not very good. However it did work with the rubber and rings with a good fit to that adaptor. It leaves a lot of whys.
