Works quick, but NOBODY WARNED ME (SAD)
(Warning is at bottom) Not sure why some people are having the opposite experience, but this stuff works. I have bought it twice a few months apart. The first time was for rats that had found a way into my attic thru my crawlspace (which I'd thought I'd blocked them out of!). I put some up there every day, about 4 to 5 blocks, and they disappeared Day 1 and Day 2. The rats were running around up there having the time of their lives, they loved it and devoured it. Day 3 there were fewer eaten. Day 4 or maybe 5, this is the sad part, I heard what sounded like whimpering in my attic. It sounded very much like a puppy crying (I thought it was coming from outside at first!). I'm pretty sure it was the rat that was eating up all those blocks. Then, my house was silent. Unfortunately a few days later I heard another one make its way into the attic, probably following the pheromones from the previous one. I did the same thing and that one disappeared, no crying fortunately. No smell either, I think they both went outside to die somewhere. I blocked up what I thought were the entrances and I didn't have any noticeable problems for a few months. Recently, I had smelled the god-awful smell of rodent urine coming through my crawlspace up into my living area and I knew they made their way in again - and so, I bought these baits again. I used bait stations outside in three spots and they were disappearing steadily. Within a few days, I smelled the funk of dead animal. I knew one was dead, probably in my crawlspace. I looked around outside, couldn't find anything. A week later when that funk had FINALLY cleared, boom, dead animal funk again. And like 15+ flies in my house. Another one was dead, and this time super strong. Apparently, it found its way in a kitchen wall or just under. I saw 1 maggot on my kitchen floor the next day, so, yeah, that was traumatic. If there were more, I probably would've fainted. I have an old house w cracks and crevices, so it crawled from wherever (I shudder to think). This was maybe 3 days ago. Anyhow, I refilled the bait stations when I got home today (well, one station - the others are still full). Maybe an hour ago I heard something on the side of the house that the rats seemed to favor. It kind of sounded like wailing or heavy sighing in animal form. I can't confirm if it was a rat (maybe was a possum or raccoon because those pass by sometimes; idk if they make sounds like that, though). But I would feel really bad if it were a suffering rat. I've tried to block them out, but they just keep coming back and being more invasive, so you do what you have to do. Anyhow, no scritching heard tonight. If you have a rat issue, I would recommend these (over other brands I've tried). (1) They will definitely eat it; and (2) It will definitely kill. But if you have a soft spot in your heart, just be warned that sometimes these animals whimper and cry when they're in pain or distressed, so prepare yourself just in case. IN BRIEF: it works, but rats may make noises of distress and you may see maggots if they die in or under your home.

Easy to use and end the invasion
This is highly effective. These damn rats started digging holes everywhere and eating wires in my car, it looked like a war zone with giant impact holes everywhere. There were more craters on my lawn than on the moon. I started taking these and throwing them into the holes they dug and after the first week dead rats started showing up. Very versatile and easy to use along with a good quantity to deal with an initial treatment. Fingers crossed they do not come back.

This product worked!
I feel bad writing this, as all of the rats around and under my house are now dead or have moved on. I started off by buying Rat-X pellets, but I donโt think they worked (I also have wood pellets in my garage that look identical) because they wouldnโt eat them. I switched to this productโputting them out every night, and I believe they brought them right back to their nest and had a feast. There are no sounds of them moving around d near the foundation at night any longer. These things work.

Not sure if this is working...
The bait blocks were delivered to me on Friday. I baited throughout the attic where I have seen mouse activity on Sunday. It is now Wednesday, and I can hear a mouse making scratching noises directly above me while I type this. Does this mean the little bast**d is gnawing at one of the blocks? God, I hope so. He certainly ain't dead yet, though, hence only two stars. I will check tomorrow to see if the blocks have indeed been being eaten and add to this review. Edit: I checked the next day, and there were interesting results. Two blocks had been gnawed, and in about a week, I noticed that there were no more sounds in that area of the attic (over a bedroom). In another area of the attic, however, closer to over the entrance to the house, the two blocks I placed there had completely disappeared! It's impossible to know what happened, because the mice (rats?!) had been burrowing into the insulation. I placed more blocks in just about every area of the attic and hoped for the best. Three more weeks went by, and there were still signs of activity, so I threw my hands up, and started looking into hiring a professional. It took me about a week to read Yelp reviews and call local servicers, but exactly at the end of the week, there was sudden silence in the attic. Another four weeks have gone by, and there are no more signs of activity. Obviously, now that the weather has warmed up, my next job is to clean the entire attic and replace the infested insulation, so I will add an update after that, but it looks like these blocks do work. As other posters have commented, they just take more time that you might expect. I have added more stars as a result.

Works Great!
This works really well. I have to fill the bait station every day now for about a week and the bait is gone the next day. I have a video of 2-3 rats going in the station at the same time. Wear gloves when you handle the bait station. I had this stored in my garage and a rat got in and chewed a hole in the plastic pail and got into the bait. I now keep the bait in a metal container. I just ordered my second pail.

This stuff woeks.
This stuff works. It rings the dinner bell for al those little meeces. Then all of a sudden, there's no more feeders on the blocks. If you have no pets, you can leave it in strategic places around the home. If you have pets, you're going to have to use the old fashioned wooden mouse traps. I'd strongly recommend you wear rubber gloves while handling the blocks and cleaning up any loose residue.

THE GOOD and THE BAD
This is what my pest control guy uses BUT...the claim that it "eliminates rat and mice within a few days" is a stretch. The stuff kills mice & rats, without doubt, but it doesn't stop them coming. To the contrary, I think it attracts MORE! I've been refilling the bait stations quarterly for three years - and I still have rats ... and I live in a suburban patio home - not a farm or rural area! I do have a lot of foliage and a small pond ... but that can't be the only problem...I no longer put out bird feeders, I don't have fish in my pond... I don't know what is attracting all these rodents! Tracking down a stink in my garage today - I found a HUGE dead Norwegian rat covered in maggots. Not a pretty picture, so not posting :(

Bait blocks didn't work
The mice ate the blocks but didn't die. They ate about 4-5 blocks over about a week, but they didn't die and are still alive and healthy.
