Spectrum Diversified Mop and Broom Holder and Organizer, White

I am very pleased with this mop and broom organizer. It came with two sticky pads so that you can mount it to the wall that way, but it also came with some screws in case you want to screw it into the wall. It holds both my mop and my broom very well, a nice, snug fit. I would highly recommend this product. (Keep in mind, though, that this organizer only holds one mop and one broom, or two mops or two brooms with 3 hooks in the middle for a feather duster or dust bin. If you have a lot of brooms and mops, you will need to order more than one or something else to hold all of your mops/brooms.)

I recently had shelves put up in the garage. My handyman also put up three plastic strips with hangers (a kit I'd bought in Home Depot) for my garden tools and brushes. First he screwed some wood strips about 4" x 1/2" onto my breeze block walls, but there weren't enough plastic strips, and I didn't want to buy another kit. When I saw this organiser on Amazon, I knew it would do the job. Fortunately the handyman didn't trim off all the wood and there was just enough for me to stick this on. I hung up my mops and ash pan (nothing heavy) an hour later it was on the ground. I got the screws (that came with it) and screwed it on the wood, and now it's not going anywhere. This would be good in a laundry room for things that aren't too heavy. It's not difficult to screw onto wood.

I looked at several of these types of items, and ordered this one as an it couldn't hurt to try this item purchase to get free shipping with another item that I purchased. I will tell you with all honesty, that I am glad I did, and after I complete this review, I will be ordering another one. It was easy to install, and helped me to organize my washroom area because I had limited space. I feel like I need one more inorder to not have to piggy back towo items to one hook, but it is holdong all of my items just fine as we speak. I got some zip ties and ran it through the end (hole) pieces on the mops and brooms and it makes everything hang just perfect with ease, and the zip ties allow a little give for the items to fall as they want without any tension. I still am going to buy another one though just because I am anal about being organized. This is a great buy. Money well spent. I reccommend it to all. Also, I chose to install my screws using (plastic) hollow wall anchors. This item is not coming off my wall, unless someone intentionally uses a huge amount of force by prying it out of the wall.

We needed something to keep our mop, broom, and dusters on in the utility room, and this holder does it well. Broom handles are held firmly but release easily. The three hooks in the middle are a little closer together than I'd prefer (two might have been a better choice) but they're sturdy enough for anything you'd reasonably try to use them for. Mounting was quick and easy. I like this one much better than most similar products I've come across - somehow it's easier to get the broom handles in and out of this one than the others.

This is EXACTLY what it says it is. A mop and broom holder. It is easy to install, holds the products well, and seems to hold firmly to the wall. I guess my only complaint would be that there aren't enough "stick" holders, but you can tell that when you look at the picture, so it is something I knew when I bought the product. Overall, good.

Great price, very easy to install & fits in small areas, & it works.

I was excited about this product because we were renting a house at the time, and I didn't want to deal with filling holes in the wall when we moved out. Unfortunately, it fell off the wall after only a few days of use (all it was holding was a normal-weight broom and mop). Technically the adhesive didn't fail because it stayed adhered to the layer of paint under it--it just pulled the paint away from the wall. It was an old house, but the paint was not in visibly poor condition. I did also have the problem of my regular broom not fitting through the slot because of a rubber grip at the top, but that was my fault and not a product defect. If you decide to buy this, make sure you have a very skinny broom and very sturdy paint.

================ UPDATE 12/1/12 ================ I went to buy a new Swiffer Sweeper today and noticed that the handle is much wider than my older model. It has been updated to an "easy grip" handle, so the handle of the new model is now much too large to fit in the holes of this organizer. Bummer. (But the Spectrum organizer is still great.) ================ ORIGINAL REVIEW ================ This organizer is perfect for holding light-to-medium weight brooms/mops, especially in small spaces. I was specifically looking for something to hold 2 Swiffers, and this fits the bill perfectly. The diameter of each hole is 1-3/8". My Swiffer handles are 1" at the widest point, so they fit perfectly. The Swiffers are light enough that they do not pull the adhesive off the wall. If the adhesive pulls off, I can use the screws provided with the organizer for a stronger mount. Love it - I'll be buying another for the laundry room. Made in USA.
