It works great. I read reviews with people saying it didn't align correctly or was difficult to center. Mine came zeroed right out of the box. The scale is attached correctly and it works as designed.

This goniometer works very well. It tested the sample blade perfectly with the exception that the description in the instruction said that they are sending us the test blade with the primary bevel of 10 dps and secondary bevel of 14 dps and the actual primary bevel on the blade turned out to be 8 degrees per side. This is a normal occurrence, so it has nothing to do with the goniometer itself. Otherwise, the assembly and tuning of the instrument is exceptionally easy. There are 3 extra batteries provided for the laser light and the measurements are clearly seen and easy to obtain.
