Vidalia Chop Wizard Pro

Love this thing......My only bit of advice is this: Be careful and don't slam it down...It can break the lid from the base....I broke my first one being careless of that fact. It tells you how to operate the Wizard in the directions I failed to read.....Read the directions and take care of it and you will have a wonderful product. This thing is quick, easy to clean up and easy to store!!!!! I love mine.....You don't have to drag out the food processor, no plug-ins or cumbersome parts. The Chop Wizard is easy to assemble, easy to use and easy to handle. You can even store your left over veggies in it if you choose. Which I'd found it years ago!!!!

This cutting surfaces are sturdy, sharp, and the whole thing is very well built. I'll never chop an onion by hand again! That said, it's not great at soft items (they get stuck in the pusher cube things), so things like super ripe tomatoes, olives, herbs, etc would be better served with another tool. But onions, bell peppers, celery, shallots, carrots, garlic, and zucchini have all been absurdly ready to chop and slice with this tool. My only complaint is I wish there was one even finer dice tool, got when you want a small shove, as the smallest grate is only a medium dice, if I'm being generous. But for the things it can do, it does them REALLY WELL. I love this so much more than my slap chop!

I debated between two and three stars... I don't like this one (two stars) but that is because I bought it to replace the original vidalia chop wizard foolishly thinking this would be an 'upgrade' as a pro model. Save yourself the money, this one does not work nearly as well as the original one. Main issue is that they have moved the cutting grates to the middle of the 'box', ...thinking back to high school physics I could go into fulcrums and levers and force but suffice it to say that this design requires way more force to get the food through the grates. Save yourself the $10 and buy the very useful 'original' one. I do like having a storage box...

I liked EVERYTHING about this chopper. It is extremely easy to use and saves a lot of time when preparing a meal. This product has every attachment needed to chop exactly as if I were using a knife but cuts prep time down to a fraction of the time I would normally need. And clean up is a breeze. I bought this to replace one that was broken. Same manufacturer but the broken one lasted for almost 10 years so that should testify to how well this manufacturer builds their products.I'd like to give it 10 stars !!!

Weak plastic. Dull blades. Unable to chop anything. Makes a loud cracking sound when you try unsuccessfully to chop anything. Not worth the money. And I have tried unsuccessfully to return it 3 times through Amazon's process. Each time it says, "The seller will contact you in 48 hours". Still, after 3 weeks, no one has contacted me. Tried to look up the seller, YourOwnChoiceStore, but they must be just on Amazon. They don't even have a website.

I used the original chop wizard for years until it broke, so looked forward to getting another one. This has three chop sizes, but none of them is the petite dice that I used most often in the original. The worst thing, I put it in the dishwasher (as it’s dishwasher safe), and the top part (the white chopper) came out with water lodged inside it. I can’t see how it got in—I assume it was through the very thin opening where the two pieces are pieced together. I can hear water in it when I shake it, but can’t pull it apart to get it out. I guess this is now trash, as I’m not going to store something in my pantry that has stagnant water in it.

I have one complaint in that the yellow blade has a plastic rim which sits on the box and it broke down one side on the first usage. i was able to use the red blade for my purpose that is why I rate it highly. had the yellow not broken this saves a great deal of time especially with Salsa and we make a lot of Salsa

The small dicing blade is a little too big. It should be the same size as the original model. The small dicing blade is the same width as the big dicing blade, but narrower. Nice case & HD unit, I think it will hold up well, just disappointed that there is not the small square one like the original. I use the small one for Jalapenos, so bigger is not always better. It also says it slices, not really, just long narrow dices for soft foods only.
