Review: Good basic backup camera to upgrade an older car - Camera install went well, and so far is working well. Housing appears to be pretty rugged (metal vs plastic housing), and the company shipped a license bracket holder and extension cable for free to help with mounting challenges (vehicle didn't have a good surface to top mount above plate, since plate lightbulb was located in the ideal spot). With the plate bracket, could still adjust view to see far enough behind and still see pretty close, too. Lower light performance is decent, given no LED lighting (car's backup lights provide enough lighting). Finally, intentionally chose this model for radio's camera input compatibility (as it wasn't HD/1080P capable), and didn't want to risk incompatibility/glitches with other models w/ HD/resolution settings that could be switched.
Review: PixelMan is a great choice. - The PixelMan is an excellent camera. The clarity is very good as well as the viewing angle. Hardware is excellent. And for the price, it is hard to beat. Just make sure that the instructions are followed precisely. It's a very good camera.

## Features

- ★【Latest 1/2.7inch Large Chip】PMD2A adopts the latest chip dedicated to backup cameras made in Japan. Compared with ordinary 1/4inch chips, it provides enhanced brightness and color saturation while maintaining clear images. The larger chip delivers more vivid colors and clearer images. This camera outputs NTSC video format. Please confirm your monitor supports NTSC before installation.
- ★【Latest Generation of HD Lens】The lens is the core component of car reverse camera. The high-definition lens used in PMD2A reversing camera is quite different from ordinary lenses in appearance, it has a larger aperture, a stronger sense of science and technology. High transmittance glass, fish-eye appearance, F1.4 aperture, all this directly determines the viewing angle, maximum output pixels, and night vision performance of the reversing camera.
- ★【Super Night Vision】Every rear view camera we designed does not have LED lights. The LED lamps are difficult to seal, which makes the water enter more easily, and the LED light is dazzling for the driver behind. About PixelMan rear camera,we adopt superb lens and sensor chip, wide angle high transmittance lens, large size high sensitive chip, this ensures you back your car easily in the weak light of the reversing light, even at night.
- ★【Lifetime Waterproof】We analyzed thousands of comments of rearview cameras, and find that 80% of rear cams stopped working because of the water into, plastic housing are more easier to age due to thermal expansion and contraction. To solve this problem, our backup camera uses a solid alloy housing, after putting the lens and PCB into the metal housing, fill it with Nano waterproof glue, seal well. In any weather, at high or low temperature, our back up camera is waterproof for lifetime.
- ★【Unique Metal Housing】This metal housing is specially designed for PMD2A backup camera, smaller size, more solid, and more stable after installation. Compared with traditional brackets, the rotating part is stronger and the camera angle remains stable after installation. Designed for 12V DC vehicle systems, please confirm your vehicle voltage before installation to ensure stable power supply and proper image performance.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent for Using on a Camper.
*by H***H on November 6, 2025*

I must say this is a GREAT camera and EXCELLENT customer technical support. I was looking for a camera to add to my Taxa Mantis camper. I am pulling the camper with my 4Runner and was needing a cable long enough to reach my Kenwood after market radio. I was not wanting to add another monitor and my Kenwood head unit had the capability to add cameras in addition to the backup camera already installed in the 4Runner. Judy was very helpful with ensuring I was doing the wiring correctly and made sure I used their extension cable for the best compatibility so make sure you don’t use a latter market extension cable. Unfortunately, my head unit did not have AHD HD capability, but the camera still has a great picture and again, all I needed it for was for helping me see behind the camper when driving on the highway, etc. very helpful and would definitely recommend this product.
