I was looking for something to give me CONSISTENCY in my beard and go tea area. This was definitely the answer for me. For my side burns/beard area...I always had a straight line from my ear down to my go tea. I never got the width the same on both sides. With the clean curve this provides, I have already received compliments the first time i used it! Really! A eye liner pencil for the starting and ending points on your cheek helps and rubs right off when finished cutting. I also the cut buddy for my go tea..the vertical lines and horizontal line is spot on. On the downside, I would not recommend this for anything you need to use a mirror for. It is impossible since you have to cut with one hand and use the cut buddy so no mirror is possible to hold. That is pretty obvious. And yes, you have to "get used to it" with your blade/electric shaver and your non-dominant hand. Come on people..stop complaining because you have to use a little bit of effort and get a good feel for it. Geez. I was confident on the 2nd or 3rd use. Just start off slowly and you will be fine. Really. Great product, will continue using for my beard and go tea area since that is where I need the help . Cheers.

The Cut Buddy is perfect for the beginner or intermediate barber who wants to cut their own hair in the comfort of their home. I have 2 little boys so going to the barbershop and paying for 3 haircuts totaling $50 every other week gets very pricy. I'm good at fading and trimming our hair low at the 1/4 guard but I always have trouble with lining our heads correctly. Seems like to get that crisp, fresh line, you have to push back the line a little for that clean look. Then I would have trouble with getting the lineup at the correct angle and curvature to fit our different head types. When I first used the cut buddy, it was a learning curve how to correctly position the line guide to get the perfect angle for our line, as well as getting the curvature positioned correctly. After the first use, I was comfortable with the cut buddy and dove right in to using it like a pro. I never had a clean, crisp line that connected perfectly with the curvature of my side hair/side burns. It really looked like I went to a professional barber because a lot of people at work was asking who cut my hair. When I told them I did it myself, they really didn't believe me. The cut buddy makes lining up my hair very simple and no more worries about pushing back my line. This item is a lifesaver and I recommend it to anyone who wants to save money in the long run by cutting your own hair.

I watched a couple of videos before purchasing to see how to use it on goatees and mustaches. The price point made it worth a try. After trying it out, right not, really only seems useful on beards. Also found it hard to get underneath my chin to line up. Works ok on hair line and edges though. When watching the online videos to consider whether or not to purchase, keep in mind that some of these men may cut hair either part time or full time for a living so don't expect your results to reflect their degree of accuracy.

Great grooming tool! Helps me shape my beard very well, I would rather have a larger pen but this one works well, just that it's a little small. Very easy to use, just draw the lines and follow them!

Not sure why I waited so long to purchase the Cut Buddy! Very useful tool for everything beard wise and other things like hairlines

Iv'e been a barber since 2013, and iv'e been struggling with beards for a long time. I use this to shape my own beard but the pencil I use on clients and it's absolutely fantastic. Just pencil the beard shape, get the t liners and use the corners on the beard in both directions. then get a razor and shape it.

Ottimo oggetto, si appoggia con le curve che più piacciono, e come si desiderano che vengano, e si passa il rasoio o la taglia capelli, e viene una bella curva. Ottimo per tracciare barba, giro del collo, i capelli dove sono le tempie. Ripeto non c'è una curva predefinita del tipo "questa è per la barba questa è per il collo ecc." ogni viso è diverso quindi le curve sono in base a come piacciono. Un'altra cosa buona è, se non si vuole tenere l'oggetto appoggiato, di disegnare con una matita degli occhi, tipo quelle delle donne e poi toglierlo così si hanno le mani libere.

Está bien pero lo plástico es muy delgado y frágil para el precio q tiene yo mejoraría eso porque es muy fácil de partirle

I head about this product on NPR's 'How I Built This'. Works great. I use the template to trace a line on my cheek with an eye brow pencil to mark where I trim. Then erase the pencil mark. Barber shop quality.
