PURA D'OR Hair Thinning Therapy Conditioner for Fuller-Looking Volume, 16oz

Omg! Got the product in 2 days and I tried it as soon as I got it. I have been battling with extreme breakage due to steroid injections. Over the course of a year my hair and the crown area has snap completely off. I have been taking hair vitamins and drinking a lot of water thinking my hair would grow back pretty fast as it always does. To my surprise, it has been over six months with little to no growth. In researching, I found this product with good reviews so I decided to give it a try. I bought the shampoo, conditioner, masque, and scalp serum. The shampoo seemed to strip the hair, however it had a really nice feel that was not brittle. The conditioner was a little thin in texture however it coated my hair nicely. After rinsing, it didn't feel like most deep conditioners. I guess I'm used to a heavier feel after conditioning. I will say that my hair still felt light and clean. Here comes the part I love most! I applied the masque and kept it on for approximately 10 minutes. Normally after I rinse out conditioner out my hair draws tightly until I apply some type of oil or moisturizer. Not this time! My hair had some beautiful coils that were very defined and lusterous. I can't say I ever saw my curl pattern look this awesome. I have thick African American hair with a deep coil curl pattern. It was so easy to manage after. This is my first try but I'm very excited about it already. I can't wait to see if the product will work for my hair loss. I will be using this product exclusively. I plan to post pictures in about a month to shown growth progress. Very Hopeful

While I have been using Pura d'Or shampoo for several months, I have only used this conditioner for a couple of weeks. I tried to use less expensive, store bought conditioner with my expensive shampoo, but my scalp has become sensitive since my hair started thinning and I finally ordered this. It is a thick and creamy conditioner. It smells different from the shampoos I've used, but that isn't a problem since the Pura d'Or shampoo rinses clean. This product smells a bit like fresh pumpkin (NOT pumpkin spice), and I find the smell mild and inoffensive. Also nicely gender neutral. The best thing about this conditioner so far is I can put it directly on my scalp and leave it there for two minutes like the directions say without my thin, oily hair looking greasy within two hours. This is good because this conditioner is also meant to moisturize the scalp, and I feel like my scalp is more healthy than it was when I started using this two weeks ago. In fact, with better moisturizing, my scalp seems a bit less oily than before. It's different for everyone, but it doesn't weigh my hair down and it's worth trying it on the scalp, even though many of us with thin hair are used to only conditioning the ends. I feel like my hair is effectively conditioned, too. I haven't had much if any trouble with static since I started using it, even though it's chilly right now and we have electric heat. The bottle has a pump that works very well. One pump is enough for me. Since it is very rich I have to be careful to rinse thoroughly, but it does rinse well. I haven't been using it long enough to know if it's helping with hair loss, but the shampoo has been so effective that I'm not as worried about that part of it (I left a review on the gold label shampoo as well). I was pleasantly surprised at how much I really like this conditioner. I feel like it's worth the price I paid, and if it lasts as long or almost as long as the shampoo does it will rival the monthly cost of a decent, non-specialty conditioner.

First I should start off by describing what I was dealing with. My hair is below my shoulders, naturally wavy, color treated, and electrical socket frizzy! (Prior to my hair loss I had a ton of hair that was super thick.) I started to loose a ton of hair for unknown reasons. I contributed it to it being color treated and getting older. I tried switching out shampoos several times ( which only resulted in an itchy scalp), washed my hair less often and opted for using dry shampoo between washes, and taking hair supplements with no results. It got so bad I was losing giant handfuls of hair every time I showered and there was hair on everything in my house. Yeah....gross! The final straw for me was when I friend noticed my receding hairline. I should also note that I had a baby, so this may or may not have worsened my issue, but my hair loss began prior to me getting pregnant. So, I've been using this shampoo for 2 months now and I have to say I've noticed a huge difference. My hair is noticeably shinier and softer. When my hair is down I have a ton of volume! I'm still losing hair, but it is significantly less. From handfuls to little hair balls in the shower and I'm not shedding all over my house anymore! I have noticed some hair growth only because of where I had the noticeable loss around my forehead. You can't see through to my scalp anymore in spots. Also worth mentioning, my scalp doesn't itch with this shampoo! I should note a few things I didn't like. They aren't deal breakers for me (I will be purchasing the shampoo again), but to give a fair review I think they should be mentioned. The shampoo doesn't lather or suds up much, so I found myself using more than I normally would especially with my longer hair. The shampoo is kind of thick and maybe too thick for the pump it comes with. It comes out...but you gotta put in some work to get that extra shampoo out. The scent isn't my favorite, but thats just me and my own preference. (If it was up to me my hair would smell like the laundry section at a store!) Its kinda earthy to me. The conditioner smells a little better, still not my favorite, but not bad enough to not buy the product again.

I have increasingly experienced a lot of thinning, shedding, split-ends and breakage. I had been looking desperately searching for a hair product that would eliminate these issues. I performed a search for hair products for thinning hair on Amazon and Pura D'OR popped up as highly recommended. I read the reviews and I was extremely impressed, so I thought I should give it a try. I ordered the PURA D'OR Hair Thinning Therapy Conditioner and PURA D'OR Original Gold Label Anti-Thinning shampoo. The product label states that you will see results after 3 months of use, and you know what? I definitely believe it. I have been washing and conditioning my hair with this product every 3 days. I using this regimen because I'm preparing to get some braids soon, so I wanted to revitalize my hair as much as possible. My goodness!!! I have already begun to see the results. The amount of shedding has decreased tremendously and my hair feels absolutely wonderful. If the look of the strands of my hair have noticeably changed. I'm so glad I found this product. I'm going to continue to its use because from the results I have seen thus far, I know it's only going to get better.

Initially I thought it was pricey but I bought it over a month ago and haven't even gone through half the bottle. It lasts a long time. I am using this to maintain my hair while I address the underlying cause if my hair loss, which I believe is hormonal. I use it every other day but it is probably better to use daily. I am starting to notice my problem area looking better. Not only that but it smells wonderful and I feel good about the natural ingredients as I try to only use nontoxic products. This is not a highly foaming product but I was using a sulfate free shampoo previously so I'm fine with it. My hair not only looks thicker but is less frizzy. I now can get away with letting my hair air dry without product and it looks less frizzy than with the more drying shampoos and putting product in! I don't know how long the affects of preventing hair fallout will last but this has really given me peace of mine that I have at least a little more time to get my health back on track without losing more hair. The conditioner is nice too. You need to make sure the product gets onto your scalp and let it sit for 2 minutes each.

I use both this shampoo and the gold bottle - the deep moisturizing along with the Hair Loss Prevention Therapy Energizing Scalp Serum (make sure your bottle has a clear gel liquid, I purchased some and it was brown - I called Pura D'or and sure enough, it was not their product). I alternate the shampoos. I gotta tell your... I am kind of impressed. I have only used for about a month and I believe my hair feels thicker. I have lots of hair, but it's super fine... my mom's is like that, my grandmother's was like that and to top it off, I have a cow lick right near the crown of my head! I wear my hair short because in Arizona the temps reach 112. I noticed since I have gotten older my hair felt thinner and on one side it has started to recede a little... this stuff for me is GREAT. I apply the spray in the morning to wet hair right out of the shower and let it sit while I do my makeup and, it's great because your pores are all nice and fresh and can absorb it. I will continuing using it! BUT for those that haven't had the results I have, you have to think of it this way.... we are each unique individuals! What vitamins work for you, may not work for me and vice versa. Nothing on the market is one size fits all! so keep that in mind. I have tried other products, and some give good or great results, some not so much! BUT you have to try right? I love this stuff.

I was feeling my long hair thinning out and was seeing an increase in new growth hair and longer hair on the floor. After investigating possible cause, I decided to look for better products to care for my hair. I researched Pura D’or for shampoo and conditioning products and it consistently scored high ratings with both consumers and testers and I liked all the positive reviews and ratings. So I asked for it for a Christmas present along with the shampoo and serum. Unfortunately a big negative for me is my hair is fine and just using the shampoo (alone) turns my hair into a big tangled knotty mess which is very unusual compared to other shampooing products. Ultimately it’s incredibly difficult and sore to brush out, using just shampoo and continues to knot easily even when dried. However this conditioner really helps and makes brushing much easier, without weighing my fine hair down. I have stuck with it and it’s been over a month now since started using both shampoo and conditioner and while I don’t see any difference in my hair yet, I think I’ve noticed less hair on the floor and in my brush! If nothing else am hopeful that at least my hair will be healthier through using a more natural product with no parabens and sulfates etc. Note: I really like the serum, and was very pleasantly surprised that it doesn’t make my hair heavy or oily, and it smells good on spritzing in and scalp feels nice too. Will definitely buy the serum again 🙂. 1 month isnt very long in hair world, so I will keep using for a few more months to see if this truly works for me. I’ve started my husband on it too! 🙂

I have been using Pura D'or conditioners for several years. I have very fine hair that tangles extremely easily, and I've also been experiencing hair loss in the last couple years, so it's been really important for me to have a conditioner that moisturizes and detangles well. I usually used the deep moisturizing biotin conditioner, but sometimes this one. In don't know what happened but both of these products have changed for the worse. I opened a new bottle of the moisturizing conditioner, and suddenly it no longer detangled or moisturized and it suddenly smelled like synthetic fragrance. I had two more bottles with the same lot number, so I ordered a new bottle that was a different lot number but the results were the same. I wrote to the company and they said nothing has changed- I don't believe them. Because now I just tried this thinning conditioner again to give Pura D'or one last chance, but I experienced the same problems - I'd even go so far as to say it made detangling harder, left my hair feeling really dry, and the fragrance (which supposedly isn't in there) is synthetic-smelling and disgusting. The company did offer a refund for the moisturizing conditioner so I sent it back. Looks like I'll be returning this too. What a bummer. Way to screw up your product Pura D'or. On the positive side all of this led me to find another brand that does the job better, doesn't have any questionable ingredients or fragrances, and is a lot cheaper. Pura D'or looses again.

When I first got it I wasn't sure if I was going to like the smell (which is a big thing for me with hair products), but it actually smells nice when applied to the hair. I appreciate having a more natural product that seems to be working! I can tell that my hair is growing faster than before, and I seem to be losing less in the shower. Will be repurchasing.

Waited at least 3-4 months before reviewing the PURA d'OR to see if it delivered. I was surprised. While i think i'm not loosing hair but my scalp is too tight, i noticed 2 things. No more pellicules and my hair indeed started growing much faster around. It really depends but i noticed a difference. At least it might reinforce them, tried for yourself you might even get better results. Still have half of the product, so you're not loosing anything over 25$.

It was not great for my hair. I used it for about a month and was really hoping it would nourish it, but instead, it seemed to dry out my hair and make it quite brittle. I had high hopes based on the ingredients and my friends' recommendations.
