I like a fairly firm feel from a brush and my current one is 20 years old and has seen better days - is this soft/medium or hard please ?

What size would you recommend for hair about 3-4 inches long ?

I have the large brush with accessories which I think is worth adding to your shopping. My hair is long and thick so it works very well for me. I don’t really know what size would be best for you but I love the brush and I think you won’t be disappointed. Maybe medium? Hope this helps

Can you clean the brush with running water?

Hi Marla! April here, from Belula! Unfortunately, that isn't advisable but you can follow the step-by-step guide instructions below on how to care for your brush: 1. Lift away the stranded hairs using the cleaning tool. 2. Prepare a soapy rinse by mixing a few drops of mild soap and warm water, then place in a spray bottle. 3. Spray the soapy rinse onto the brush and wipe it off using a clean cloth. You may also scrub using a toothbrush for extra cleaning. 4. Spray rinse with clean cold water. 5. Use a soft cloth to dry all the water from the bristles. Continue to dry the brush until all traces of water are gone.
